My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Close Your Eyes

I can't be with you today
but if you close your eyes and think;
I'll be beside you in the kitchen
wearing your shirt - standing by the sink.
I'll be with you in the bedroom
waiting quietly on your bed;
Just close your eyes and think of me,
relive those memories in your head.
I'll stand by you in the bathroom,
an unlikely place to meet;
I'll smile at you so playfully
as I let you brush my teeth.
I'll be your light in the darkness,
shining steady through and through;
You only have to watch it glow
to know I think of you.
I'll be the music that you listen to,
I'll be there in every song:
I'll laugh with you and sing with you,
and comfort you when your day's gone wrong.
I'll be the wind that ruffles your hair,
I'll be that warm embrace;
I'll be the hand on your shoulder,
I'll be the tender touch on your face.
I'll be the clock gently ticking,
reminding you of the times;
We've shut the rest of the world outside
we're in our own world - yours and mine.
I'll be the moon as it dances
on the water cold and still;
For I have loved you always
and I know I always will.
Though you may not see me physically
as you live your life today;
Just close your eyes and think of me
I will not be far away.

Close Your Eyes
I'll be there in dawn's light
I'll be there in eve's twilight
I'll be there in shifting sand
that flows through an open hand
I'll be there through raging winds
torrents of rain
blizzards of blinding light
I'll love you 'til the end of time
even though you're not mine

Hi folks, have had a very long and busy day. Granddaughter has graduated from High School. Now we go on to college. Whoa, can we stand it. :-)
I had a lovely time. The Hockey star came home to see his sister graduate, woo hoo, he heads to college in the fall and will be doing college hockey.
Worth every bit of tired fannies watching this one. :-)

There Is A Poetry In Ships' Names

It can still be heard in the quiet watches of the night..., when mist obscures the waterfront and foghorns call mournfully through the darkness. Out across the bay, blinking lights mark the channel down which Navy ships have sailed for a hundred years, and bells sound a knell for those that never came back. There is no quiet Arlington for ships; their bones rust in unknown lands beneath the sea.
The names that entered history in minutes filled with fire and thunder are soon forgotten, except in long hours of the night when the bells call the roll of missing ships.

A battle group photo. Makes my heart flutter. :-)
Good sad poem. Our great ships, wish we could preserve them all. I love that at least they have a proper ceremony for those we know will be scuttled.
Good music today, thanks Sam.

Together Not Touching
Together not touching a bond of love a vibrant sharing was opened
Alone each consumed not by desire, but by need Hope walked away--sadly touching their soft coffin.
