The Freeper Grill Challenge
May 29, 2004 | LadyShallott

Posted on 05/29/2004 8:18:53 PM PDT by LadyShallott

This weekend has started the grilling season. It's all about family, BBQ, and mosquitoes. The challenge is to create the official Freeper grill menu. Have a red, white, and blue cake recipe that you want to share? A Freeper burger that would cause the average liberal to shake in their boots? How about some great "W" T-Bone recipes? Share them and have your recipe rated by other Freepers. I would like to have a panel of Freepers sign up for the judging....lets decide who gets the "Patriot" creative menu. May the best Freeper win.

TOPICS: Cheese, Moose, Sister; Chit/Chat; Food; Humor
KEYWORDS: bbq; blue; burger; burned; eyebrows; freeperburger; grill; off; red; white
The coals will be on. Lets keep this bumped. A Freeper burger is a wonderful thing.

Freeper Grill Challenge Mr.King. You have one of the most extensive pings that I have ever seen. If you feel that it is worth it, please ping the "grill masters". Thank you.

WOW, I am humbled! Ever try "Dave's Viper venom"? Wicked stuff! My husband & son have duels on who can handle the hottest sauce. Makes for great entertainment LOL.Plenty of white bread & milk on hand. Try Carlos3B I believe. He's our resident Chef on hand.

I love spicy stuff. I grew up in southern California and the husband (who is a midwestern boy) has learned to appreciate the spicy, finer things in life. If we have pot roast....we have it with jalapeno pepper's. LOL

It's gonna be a hot one here this Sunday...it's 90 degrees and only 8:15 a.m.

So when I kick up the Weber at 4 this afternoon, I'm going to make sure there's a nice adult beverage within reach at all times.

The plan is "Batavia Burgers"...four of us will have half pounders; what works well is to take your half pound portion, make two littler patties out of that and insert a slice of your favorite cheese between the two. Work the patty together around the edges and voila!...Stealth cheeseburgers!

Low and slow cooking; indirect heat at no more than 325 for around 45 minutes.

I don't know what is up with the moderators. It's unfortunate. Todd had been a member here for years without any problems. :(

Believe it or not he is not the first to run into this problem. Holly P no longer posts her for the exact same reasons.
