Try finding a freemarket solution. Why turn to the government to solve your problem?

Let's ban capitalism while we're at it.

Try Mozilla.org for a fast and popup-free browser.

Go to this website and download the google toolbar.

http://toolbar.google.com/

After it installs, activate the popup blocker. It really works. Plus if give you a neet google search toolbar that will search the entore website or just within what ever website you are visiting.

I dislike pop-ups as much as the next guy. But on what basis can you justify Congress banning them? What would you say if they decided to ban your business next?

Because I am paying for the government.

If we had less government you wouldn't have to pay as much.

Reckon they can stop the ads on the radio, tv, newspaper, magazines, flyers in the mail box, etc? I'm tired of seeing/hearing/receiving them......

Get a different browser, like Mozilla. No pop-up ads, tabbed browsing, etc. I love it and won't go back to MS Internet Explorer. In addition, the mail program bundled with the browser is terrific.

Take a little responsibility on your own.

There are several browsers and browser attachments that block pop-up ads.

Opera and IRider are two browsers that work just fine. I virtually never see a pop-up ad.

I am not saying ban advertisments. Just keep them from interfering with my computer without my consent.

It's already done. Freemarket solutions by Google, Yahoo and others. I use a google tool bar, but it is strictly your choice.

http://toolbar.google.com/

And is faster and less silly than waiting for congress to act correctly.

After we wipe out pop-ups, then we'll fight to take down all those unsightly billboards along the highway. Then we'll tackle all those annoying commercials on TeeVee.

There ought to be a law, I tell you.

And left-wing writers of Simpsons episodes I don't like.

As Mark Twain once said, "Be glad we don't get all the government we are paying for".

You mean like they banned "spam". They have a good track record, don't they.
