I almost never watch TV, so until a week or so ago when they started discussing the show's finale on Fox Morning News, I had no idea "Friends" was still on.

I think that I saw where they will end up making 50 million after syndication, etc.

Freinds could be funny sometimes. But, quite often, it was just stupid. Insultingly so.
I still say that Pheobie should have died.

My first instinct is to say that I don't care, since I don't watch it. But upon further review, I am very happy this is over. My sis-in-law loves the show and forces my brother it watch it. When I visit during the time it is on, they have to watch it or record it. It isn't funny; it's annoying! The only character I find somewhat amuzing is the airhead guy, Joey.
I am celebrating today. NO MORE FRIENDS!

PLEASE SOMEBODY SHOOT ME. I CAN'T GO ON WITHOUT FRIENDS. MY LIFE IS MEANINGLESS. WHO WILL SING SMELLY CAT? WHO WILL HANG OUT AT A COFFEE SHOP INSTEAD OF WORK YET GET PAID 1.5M AN EPISODE?

Could not care less. I never watched it. I don't watch crap. Hallelujah, brother (or sister, as the case may be). If it weren't for the demand, there wouldn't be the supply!

Count me in. I'm glad this clap-trap has been put out of its misery.
After all, how many different ways can you write scripts for a show based almost entirely on penis, boob, ass and sex jokes?

Other than the physical appearance of Jennifer Anniston ... Frankly I'm tired of seeing her on every magazine cover, at the local grocery store check out line, airport magazine stands, same pose, same look, it seems since forever. Good bye ....

Vapid series. I doubt that there will be any 'spin-offs'.

I remember watching the ifrst episode and thinking, "hey, this is actually much better than your average silly sitcom." And I will admit I DID watch for a while. Sometimes mindless entertainment is good! But I did get tired of what became the predictable back-and-forth of the characters, their silly situations, and the apparent "passing around" of boyfriends and girlfriends. Did they ever try to make any NEW friends, for goodness sake?
So I thought she show was pretty well-written, compared to other sitcoms. But it was ALWAYS a little too "hip" and smarmy, and very overhyped right thru its whole run. I haven't seen it in years. I think what finally broke the habit was the "lesbian kiss" episode - it seemed that all the NBC shows had to have such a plotline written in at the time, like it was some kind of directive. Mindless comedy is one thing; mindless comedy with hamhanded political propaganda - of any stripe - thrown in is something else.
I have been sick of hearing about this show for months now. After today it will all be over, I hope. I'm not really a sitcom watcher any more.
:)
