An Open Letter to the Politicians in D.C.

Good day, to all you less than honorable twits, twitettes, and various insignificant elected pimps and whores of the United States government.

I wish to direct your attention to a fact that you people have neglected for many years...make that way too many years. Here’s a hint: You work FOR us. You are OUR hired help. We are NOT your slaves. It is WE who hold the power...not YOU! We have the ability to send you back home with the simple punch of a chad. Do you follow me here?

The first thing I would like to address is the War on Terror. Yea, we’ve all heard you’re either with us or you’re with the terrorists. Well, right back at you guys. You’re either working for the people who happen to pay your salaries, or you’re working for the enemy. Thus far, it seems that you people are working for the enemy. What have you done for America lately? Excuse me, what have you done to help America lately? The Patriot Act? Throwing billions of dollars at various countries like Santa throwing candy to kids in every city during Christmas parades? Thank you very much, officials. We are now in debt up to our collective shoulders, and it seems there’s no slowing down spending at all. Foreign Aid is a joke. You send money to countries that “like” us just long enough for the ink on their checks to dry. Once the check clears the bank, it’s back to ”hate the infidels” again. That’s okay, as most of you idiots feel that we should change our ways so those foreigners won’t hate us so much. Sure, that’s the ticket. Grease their palms with money, bribe them into a war, allow them to prosper on our dime, and then watch them sucker punch us at the first given opportunity.

If I recall correctly, in the Preamble to the Constitution, it goes something like this:

“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense,promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

Let’s dissect this in part. Domestic Tranquility: meaning that the USA should take care of the USA first and foremost. In other words, dance with the one that brung ya! It’s certainly true that you cannot please all the people all the time, however, you do not have to pander to minority groups (illegal immigrants, gays, Muslims, etc) in order to obtain said Tranquility. Sort of like the old adage, “home is what you make of it”. Welfare: health, happiness, or prosperity, well being. To fare well. Instead today, the elected elites seem to think this Welfare means that those less willing to work and use common sense in regards to making babies, starting families, remaining unmarried, should be entitled to a permanent place at the teats of big government. With eyes closed, lips placed firmly as they suckle, and hands clinging tightly to their monthly checks. I really don’t think this is what the original framers had in mind.

Posterity: future generations...all of our descendents. In other words, we, and also our leadership should secure not only our own freedoms and liberties, but for our children, and their children as well. Instead, we have this Homeland Security and the Patriot Act, which dilutes this very portion of the Preamble to the Constitution. Ordain:To order by or as if by decree. In my humble opinion, this says that it’s actually a done deal. Now, if we could get the politicians and the judges to understand that, everything would be cool. The elected thugs of today do not understand even the basics of this thing called the Constitution. This little word “ordain” pretty much, to me, seals the deal. It gives this document some sacred authority and with that, means that it should not be tampered with...period.

Secondly, the porous borders of our country, the allowing of anyone and everyone from parts unknown into our country without a second glance, will be responsible once again for the shot heard around the world. As we’ve seen and heard from Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, where it is written:
"Give me your tired your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Well, what we see daily is not at all huddled masses yearning to breathe free and all the touchy feely good stuff. What we see on a regular basis is more thugs creep into our country, bringing with them more harm, more disease, more drugs, and more trouble than they’re worth. We the people, are now pretty much second class citizens, due to our goal of this wonderful thing called diversity. God forbid that we should get serious about real security in our country. We have been turned into the enemy, as the apparent enemies are still allowed to go unchecked, as they come and go into and out of this country. The last thing we would want to do is upset these people, less they feel they’re being profiled. After all, the government is our friend, right? They are here to protect us, and watch over us, like a shepherd tends to his sheep. Wrong. Actually, the government is doing nothing less than fleecing the flock, at an extremely high price. Click here to see for yourself. Remember, these people in D.C. are no more than “rented auctioneers”, leasing their wares amongst the highest lobbyists, and virtually screwing the American people. If you want to see some really impressive numbers, then check this out! Now, do you feel like raising a little hell in Washington? I thought you might!

I had hope this piece of writing would be short and sweet, but I think it will take several parts, before the point is drilled home, in a way that will make people want to respond. Please, do yourselves a favor and do not discount a Third Party vote for leadership during this election cycle. Are you one of those people who are tired of holding your nose and voting for the lesser of two evils? Are you afraid if you vote Third party it is a wasted vote? Well, what do you have to lose? Do you think George W. Bush will all of a sudden morph into a true conservative? Do you believe that John F. Kerry will turn this country around, and by that, I mean in a positive way? Vote your conscience...not the choices given to us by the media and the two political parties.

Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.. aren't there enough threads on FR to satisfy all the needs of people that are into Politics, Religion, and the Civil War?

I can remember when this thread used to be light and fun, just plain silly..and a good place to hang out.

Now it's getting just like most of the threads on FR,with the whinin, bitchin, moanin, groanin, and even a little bit nasty...

Is it just me?

The Lilacs are gone Resty.. Those are the Wisteria.. I don't think they have too much aroma. At least I've never noticed.

It's sad that all these spring flowers only last a few days to a couple weeks at most.
