Not sure what she voted ,if she voted at all.
She was adamant that our dog was going on her lawn.
So adamant about it that she grabbed some of the 'leavings' and was screaming to compare the 'leavings'.
Nevermind that it was HER dog going on the lawn..
On second thought, she might have been a liberal.

We had some elderly people in the next town that used to cut this huge yard with scissors. I used to sit in the car in an out of the way spot and just watch them. Amazing..poor things. I wonder if I'll ever end up like that?
Ya never know.........;)

Is it time for a blue thingie yet, when is post time, and is it still raining there?
Thanks. ;-)
To: Mo1
No, she didn't have a sense of humor.
So she must have been a liberal.
*scratches head*
Come to think of it, she may have been insane as well.
Of course, most of my neighbors there were insane.
One of them, who was in her late 20's at the time, liked to do 'strip teases' in front of her wide open uncurtained windows, as well as answer the door in the buff.
I'd caught one of her cats that had gotten loose once and was returning the fuzzy miscreant to his 'mom' and found the latter part of the above statement out the hard way.
About that time was when I came up with my theory and realisation that men, when confronted by the female's defensive chest beam weapon, become babbling drooling morons.
It was horribly unfair.

Nevermind what happened on the thread resty got suspended on.
I just read it, and it seems way overblown to me -to the point that all who were suspended for the 'infraction' should not have been suspended.
BUT, what do I know, I have a fairly thick skin for that sort of thing and I'm not among the mods and don't know what was being said behind the scenes.
Suffice it to say, the thread that happened on has been locked, and towards the end right before being locked a few who weren't suspended got snarky.

Thanks for the detective work there...I still cannot imagine Resty saying ANYTHING worthy of getting whacked.
Oh well...
To: lodwick
Welcome.
Basically, it boiled down to a religion discussion, resty said something that someone got way too sensitive of because maybe their pride or ego was smarting, and she got suspended.
Actually, a large block of people on that thread got suspended.
It's an educational read, but infuriating as well.
Heck, even people who were disagreeing with those who were suspended said that it didn't look right for that to happen.
But I got an attack of the curiosity and wandered into the place to see what happened.

Good grief...I guess I'm better off staying inside the safety of The Doorway and learning about Lard and other valuable life lessons.
To: lodwick
One reason I left the religion threads long ago.

Yea .. they sound like nutty liberals
At my mom's house we had a neighbor who was nuts .. we use to call her shotgun sally because she had this bad habit of pulling a shotgun out if you stepped on her lawn
We had another one we called Crazy Rita .. she didn't like catholics .. but yet lived in a catholic neighborhood .. go figure
She had a habit of going to church and screaming at the priest during mass .. or when she walked by she's throw pennies at the church
Oh and when we would walk home from school (catholic school) we had to take the long way because she would sick her dog on us
Wow .. thems were the days .. *L*

Goodness. Thankfully, I don't have anything to add to the crazy neighbors stories...could this be a north and east sort of thing? Surely there's plenty of nut-jobs south of the Mason-Dixon line.
To: Mo1
WOW.
Had the (alcoholic) manager of a local trailer park take a disliking to me.
One day, as I was walking down the township's road outside but bordering the trailerpark, he comes racing out of his trailer while hitching his pants up, jumps into his beatup truck, and then drives across lawns and such to pull up next to me and blast me with Jimmy Bean breath and accusing me of breaking into trailers to steal stuff.
(I was walking some friends home along the short route brodering the 'badlands' there..)
I stated to him that he was free to call the police and wait where he sat.. especially considering that I wasn't in his precious little kingdom at all, and he was legally drunk without a valid driver'slicense and sitting on a public road in a pickup truck DWI.
He told me he was going to hit me, so I told him he could keep making threats, he was also free to step out of his vehicle and try to take a poke at me, he'd be lucky to land a hit while drunk.
Meanwhile, my friends all freaking out, they think the cops are going to come out of nowehere and drag me off.
Drunko sits for a few seconds while his pickled brain processes the information, and then begins to repeat what he's said already.
I, being the jerk that I am, looked at him and said, "FIne, you want me to have been in your trailer park? Here, I'm in the park, I'm out of the park, I'm in the park, I'm out of the park."
I was stepping from the public road onto the road buffer that seperated the trailer park from the public road and back.
Drunko decides he's going to cut & run from what is quickly turning into a humiliating public spectacle and public disrespect for his supposed all powerful "awwwthoritee!"
Yeah, they were ALL liberals.
Glad I moved from that area, but this place isn't much better..

Well, there are plenty of nutjobs soputh of teh Mason-Dixon line, but it's best to keep quiet about them.
Some are shipped to Congress as exile, while others, like my grandmother, are stuck in the crazy bins for safe keeping.

"Is it time for a blue thingie yet, when is post time, and is it still raining there?" It's about time for a blue thingy. I was just thinking about it in fact. (I stocked up). Post time is 6:05 EDT. It's been dry for the past few hours, but they're saying on the weather that it's possible the storms will hit before post time. Of course, everyone has their fingers crossed that the weather will hold for a couple more hours. We're fixing to leave here in a few to go get settled in for the Derby.
We will be heading out either very late tonight or sometime in the wee hours, for Eureka Springs. That is when I'm praying for nice weather. So far, it appears that area should be clear and warm.
