My all time best pick up line: "So tell me, darlin', just how big is your boyfriend?"
If the answer was "I'm not married," or "I got no boyfriend" or "not all that big," ... I knew I had a shot.

I'm 24. I tried the girlfriend thing for a little while. She just helped me to realize how good I feel when I'm not seeing anyone. I'll try again someday - but right now I'm happy, and I'm just trying to graduate from law school.

Follow your instincts and understand that this is supposed to be fun.
Why not try to do something lighter then writing about politics.

Gotta say it's hard to relate to guys who find themselves in similar funks ... I've been with my high school sweetheart since 1971.
How about volunteering to be a campaign worker, even if just part time. You just might meet a compatible, like-minded gal.

Save your money. You will need it to get a wife or girlfriend when you are 50 or so.

Your TWENTY-TWO!!! Give your concern a rest. I got married at 34! And that was after I spent 5 years with a woman/girl between 21-25... R-E-L-A-X!

Advice for meeting a girl:
Get involved in a large church, particularly one which has a singles group.
Join clubs, including reading groups, social volunteer organizations, and political groups.
Talk to ladies at the grocery store.
Ask friends to fix you up.
Get a part time job at a place which has a lot of young people (Home Depot, Target, library, Old Navy, etc.).
I hope this helps!!!

It will come, and knock you for a loop, when you least expect it. Yep.
CM55, you're trying to hard, and you sound desperate.
That comes through to these women.
Make sure you're enjoying your life, first and foremost. You'll attract other happy people to you.

Funny I found myself wondering the same thing about guys: I'm 30, single, never had children, had one boyfriend, conservative and I'm not ugly.

Happy Birthday a bit early. Go to a book store, visit the political section and if there's someone interesting, just chat. Do you belong to a local political club? Check internet for young Republicans(?)club.

Gee, all this time I thought you were 55 years old, and I've had a secret crush on you. Seriously! So at least know you have the maturity and intelligence to turn this 40 something FReeper's head.
OK, that said, my son is your age, and he says the same thing about finding girls his age to date. I keep telling him the right one is out there for him. Same goes for you, kiddo. And Happy Birthday!!!!!

Wow.
Dude, grow up and take charge of your life. Whining about not having a woman isn't going to help ANYTHING. You're too young to be worried about this anyway. You also need to realize that though a woman can be a great companion and friend, they often can complicate your life.
You may wish to focus your energies on other activities. Here are a few suggestions: Exercise; Take up a musical instrument; Get a dog; Golf; Start doing some online gaming with friends; Become active in church; Get out of the house.
Can you take responsibility for yourself or shall we form a special-interest group to lobby Congress for special legislation?

First of all, you never let on how much you like a girl. "Oh, Debbie. Hi." Two, you always call the shots. "Kiss me. You won't regret it." Now three, act like wherever you are, that's the place to be. "Isn't this great?" Four, when ordering food, you find out what she wants, then order for the both of you. It's a classy move. "Now, the lady will have the linguini and white clam sauce, and a Coke with no ice." And five, now this is the most important. When it comes down to making out, whenever possible, put on side one of Led Zeppelin IV.

Learn how to make crack cocaine. The women love it. Drive down some streets in cracktown about 3:00 A.M. They walk the streets.

Happy birthday, and maybe you've been lookin for love in all the wrong places? (sounds like there's a song in that to me!) I wasn't looking when I found my hubby, Chadsworth who was introduced to me by a mutual friend who thought we would hit it off. We did, but first I had to draw his name out of a hat! (really!) Got any friends with a hat? LOL!

Ditto that, only I'm 27.
Guess I need to find some more guy friendly clubs to join, not that there are that many in the area. I love rural areas, but they do have downsides....
