Glad to know it's spring somewhere. Hopefully the buds will start popping open here soon.
Not only is Clarke contradicting his testimony from 2002, but his closed door testimony also
Can you direct me to that thread?

Yes. I think Kerry and Clarke are having a contest on who can flip flop the most.

Well, I haven't found it yet. I just read something on my lunch hour and can't remember the source. :( Miss Marple had a comment about Clarke contradicting his testimony from the closed door questioning. He's lying somewhere, either yesterday, or in the closed door testimony or his book, or...

Hi, UG! Former Navy Secretary Lehman said this morning on Fox and Friends that Clarke had condradicted his closed-door testimony before the commission. Saxby Chambliss said that his public testomony before the commission ran counter to his testimony to the Intelligence Committee in the Senate. I don't have links, but it was a definite point by both men.
I saw Porter Goss is launching an investigation from the House. HA!

The outright lies that the demoncrats are running is revealing. Middle America, flyover America, will see the truth.

John! Be careful out there. I'm glad it is a federal case and not something you have to face on your own.
Dolly, I'll tell you what I'm gonna do. This weekend, I'll get a photo and photoshop my autograph onto it and post it. Be waiting for it!

We've been in the 80's this week. That's outside in the breeze with a shade. In the kitchen tent, wearing MOPP-4 gear, my pocket thermometer was a touch over 100F a few times this week. ;>)
Today, at the outbrief, one of our own received a silver coin from the Inspector General for the wonderful job that she did during the inspection. She really deserved it, and I'm very proud to serve with her.

I so much enjoy your reports on your work!
I am calling it a day...babysitting tomorrow.
Good night, all!

Yes, Utah Girl. Commissioner Lehman said during yesterday's hearing that he was deeply disappointed because Clarke had worked closely with the Commission and had provided a blueprint for them to follow.
In addition, Lehman said that Clarke's testimony yesterday differed substantially, completely from Clarke's closed-door 15 or 16 hours of testimony!!!
And the Rats somehow have gotten away with the talking points that Rice has testified in private. Well, we should demand to know what Clarke said in private for 16 hours vs. his testimony yesterday.

Yes, I am a big "Linda Fan", too. I used to check her site 5 or 6 times a day during the primary. It was very helpful to keep track of what was going on. Now I"m so busy I don't have time to check all the fun sites I used to monitor.

I guess y'all will kill me if I tell you that we had to get our lawn mowed this week ... and that the flowering trees are now past their prime ... and that the forsythia have been really beautiful.
I don't tell you those things to taunt you but to give you hope .... Spring will come to your part of the country soon ... and before you know it, we'll all be complaining about the summer heat.

I love Clean Sweep. When I was sick, I just watched those reality home shows. Clean Sweep is one that I've actually learned something from.

No 'probably' about it, John ... you definitely need our prayers. And you've got 'em! Stay safe!

Yes, I am still considering the RV behind my truck. I intend to tour America, cooking for the best chefs, as referred by the best chefs, as I see them.
I'm not going to leave until next spring at the earliest, and will probably head toward Louisiana. I may be doing drill weekends at various bases as I go. I'll make sure I get a record of who I work with, and what I did, so that if the press ever wants to know who I had coffee with at 0630 on Saturday morning, I'll have a roll-call list with SSNs. ;>)

In the "who would ever have thunk it" department:
Libya to Join US and UK In 'War on Terror'
Libya on Thursday brought to an end decades of international isolation as a pariah state with a promise to join forces with the United States of America and the United Kingdom to fight the global war against terrorism. It is to provide intelligence to help root out Al Qaeda and on Thursday secured a gas exploration deal with Shell that could be worth billions of dollars.

I'm kind of smiling here, I hope Clarke gets his comeuppance for all of this. But it worries me too. All this time taken up with testifying. We're in the middle of the War on Terror, and some are pointing fingers all around. As much as I want to see x42 get his, it's not gonna happen in this lifetime. The media is holding President Bush just as accountable as x42. But they have no answers on what he should have done. This is just making me crazy, the whole commmission idea is so Sept 10th.

Did you go to the "Messages" link? Messages all post there...and there is a chat room. Chat link should get you there although as I mentioned, you might have to install Yahoo chat software. I think most folks were in chat room.
