After a couple of the usual... "no way... can't do that" stuff... and ready to walk out... they actually came back and said "OK"I was kinda that way with a new Monte Carlo today. They said, wait, maybe we can deal. By then, I was tired and told 'em I'd think about it tonight and be back with 'em. I think not though. But, it was VEY pretty. :-)

No, I'm in a... happy black mood. Um, more of a girl-thing than I usually do, but once in a while it's nice to wallow in angst, and I've got some stuff here to let me do so... ran out of Kenshin (until Tuesday) so I found the Kenshin prequel, Samurai X Trust/Betrayal. It is so dark. I love it.
Also there's only four of twenty-eight Kenshin manga that have been translated so far, so I may have to break down and get some comic books with my expense check.

"this is not abandoned, please don't tow".I'm thinkin' about putting a sign out in front of my house saying, "No the Chevy is NOT FOR SALE"
I'm kinda tired of the doorbell ringing and people asking. If I wanted to sell the Chevy it would have a For Sale sign on it!

I saw a Hawg sittin' in the parking lot at work yesterday. I didn't think much about it, until I saw that one of my coworkers was wearing a HD leather jacket. Yep, it was his. He said his dad is a Hawg dealer in Midland and had made him a deal he couldn't refuse.

OH! And I forgot to say! When I was out looking this afternoon I found a sweet '72 LeMans convertible! Oh, it sounded like heaven! That one wasn't for sale either though. Belonged to a guy that worked at one of the dealerships. But, he let me look and listen!

No idea about the Stargate series, I think it's at least the same storyline. The Stargate series picks up where the movie leaves off, so same characters, same backstory, but heads off in a typical TV series direction.

But, it was VEY pretty. :-) No, no, no. If it ain't a truck, it needs to be a 'vette. Something in a C5 perhaps? I'm thinkin' this one is really YOU... either in convertible or T-top:

What think?

Well hello, my long lost FRiends! Good to see you all again!
I LOVE my new job! It keeps me fantastically busy, which is exactly what I needed. Over the last few years, I had become too complacent with my work habits, and I needed something to turn me back around again. This job did it...and I'm better for it in the end.
Even been crazy busy these last few weekends, with Autumn's birthday coming up. There's so much yardwork I need to finish before I can get things ready for next Satruday. Tomorrow, I'm picking up a swing-set that my cousin is giving me, then taking Autumn to see "Home on the Range" (she likes cows), then going shopping for party stuff.
Tomorrow is her dedication at Church, then big family lunch, then off to the Youth Group meeting at 5. I'm taking them to a neighboring church for a special sermon put together by that church's youth group. Hopefully, it'll inspire my group to do the same. We're also in the fledgling stages of selecting a few plays that the group wants to perform for the congregation on a special saturday performance day in June.
All is well...all is healthy...just busy, busy, busy!
How are things here?

Does this mean you are going to discontinue the HH knife testing program? Those are some great reviews, ever think of doing them for 'Blade' magazine? :-)I'm stopping with the models on hand. Now that I've seen them, I know which ones would work, and which won't. I think our new source could last us a long time, although, like I said earlier, I'd be happier if the need went away tomorrow.
There are six knives, four folders, two fixed, being laser-engraved with the HH url and "PROTO". Anybody interested in them? They WILL be one-of-a-kind.
As far as writing reviews, I'm much too blunt to write reviews of products that are advertised in the same publication. Also, what I like and don't is often 180-degrees opposed to what others feel. The Gerber LS II is a great pocket knife for $20. But some people feel $20 is waaaay too much money for a knife, and want something in the $3 price range. I've seen those $3 knives, and I wouldn't give one to Osama bin Laden, even if he promised to slit his wrists with it.
Some people are poor, and I sure don't have a lot of money to throw around. But if all I had was $3, I'd wait, and save, and buy the $20 one when I could, and feel a lot better about it. So the guy who buys the $3 knife would probably think my review of a $20 knife was totally worthless. Of course, some people buy cheap booze not because they like the taste, but because they can get drunker cheaper.

But, I always keep a better one in my purse, another one I carry camping, a different one when I go on bike trips. Depending on what I'm doing, I have a good knife for it. However, those cheapies make awfully good things to toy around with, opening packages, prying things, just general junk use. LOL
I'm sure we all have 'em for that too. :-)

It sounds like someone on the other end of the fax should get reamed. Try complaining to your congressbeing, too. It was a raw deal, and a lot of people were hurt.See #5139. Sent today.
I remember when I was in NCO leadership school. The senior enlisted advisor came to speak one day. Somehow the topic of Honer Guard came up. He mentioned that the base honor gaurd had said no one time to a funeral request. He was not involved in that at all, but said "I never wanna have to deal with that scrutiny again." Someone had called their congress critter. We'll see.

Buy the comics! BTW, I didn't mention before but just remembered, they also reprint classic X-Men. Issues 94-137 are the best--good for angst as they're very angsty, too!

That would look *really* good on me! :-) Well, I suppose a vette isn't so much something you get into as much as something you put on... like a pair of really, really fast shoes. :-)
