The Hobbit Hole VII - But not yet weary are our feet...
Posted on 03/15/2004 1:45:41 PM PST by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
But not yet weary are our feet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Here is one of G'nad and me sitting in the buggy just after our wedding...there are a few more (dancing on tables...stuffing cake in each others faces) but I'm way too busy to try and get those up here.
We gave G'nad some new overalls and a flag and pole for his b-day...the kids made him cards and I am making him a coconut cream pie...(wish I could have remembered how to make the letters really tiny when I typed that).
Have a great day...back to work for me...

You look a little like my friend Sonya in those days!Yes she does!
Your hair was darker then, huh, 2J? I see what you mean about the makeup, but for photographs you have to do that!

Note the poinsiettas...we got married on Dec. 22nd. My "colors" were hunter green and white. We had originally planned to get married during the Christmas holidays. I'd planned to use burgundy and hunter green. Then SSQ's housing plans were changed because of the move the guys he was living with were going to make, so we moved it up to October. That way he wouldn't have to move twice from where he was. Worked out great! We got married the very same day that the Clintons did. I think it is safe to say we've been MUCH happier! ;o)

What a lovely picture!!!
These photos were my "professional" ones...I have a bunch too of just casual stuff.
I can't wait to dig through my old photos...I'll have to find the ones of when I ran my marathon...I wore a yellow ribbon in my hair for the troops in Desert Storm.

A friend sent me a new Lunasa CD (I don't think it's even out in stores yet) as a surprise - signed by all the guys! I'm just flabbergasted. And it's a wonderful CD, as you might expect! They just keep getting better...wow.
