The Hobbit Hole VII - But not yet weary are our feet...
Posted on 03/15/2004 1:45:41 PM PST by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
But not yet weary are our feet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

But I *still* wouldn'ta wished all this on 'im.No, I know you wouldn't.
You would never wish anything bad on devil-cat. *grin*
Maybe he digs in all four claws because it's a fun way to get a reaction from you! Might have nothin' to do with Josie.
You liked it when I was digging my claws in your back.... what's wrong with the cat doing it? *wicked grin*

It's something else watching he and Josie torment each other. I wish they could just agree to get along.

He just likes to yank her chain.... in all this fighting, I don't think he has ever left a mark on her.

Well, I think it's the weather around here right now. I slept late yesterday because I didn't have to go to work till 3:30 and today I had to nap on my lunch break. But, I also slept good both nights, though I do tend to stay up way too late.

Oooh, really? Maybe that's why I feel like giggling all the time.
On the down side it's showing no signs of knocking me out.

On the down side it's showing no signs of knocking me out.For me it has the weird effect of making me feel low on energy without being able to fall asleep.

What's "To Catch a Thief" about?To Catch a Thief
American expatriate John Robie living in high style on the Riviera is a retired cat burglar. He must find out who a copy cat is to keep a new wave of jewel thefts from being pinned on him. High on list of prime victims is Jessie Stevens, in Europe to help daughter Frances find a suitable husband. Lloyds of London insurance agent is using a thief to catch a thief. Take an especially close look at scene where Robie gets Jessie's attention, dropping an expensive casino chip down decolletage of French roulette player.

Ah... I have heard of it then. Hmm. Not what I'm planning at all.
Actually what I'm planning has to get drastically cut to fit the stupid class word length requirement. Grrr.
And I finished that disk of anime, with great willpower I resist putting on more. I need to go to bed now, yes I do...
