The Hobbit Hole VII - But not yet weary are our feet...

Posted on 03/15/2004 1:45:41 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

But not yet weary are our feet...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Thanks.... I think there is hope for him... When they were force-feeding him and didn't know why, I feared this was just an old cat shutting down. At least they have a plan now.

My "Action" dreams are me running from a wild maniac who wants to kill me.

And that Mom does the jeans first....

Doesn't your Mom check pockets? I'm paranoid about doing that because I HATE to leave tissues in pockets. They make SUCH a mess in the washer, then later in the dryer, if for some reason they didn't shake loose in the washer.

She might have rescued it for you. If she did, give her a BIG hug!

Do you find yourself running but not getting anywhere? When I have running or chasing dreams, I trip and slip and get stuck or just seem to not be getting anywhere.

But it tastes like bubble gum!

That may be, but I daresy none of US would want to be hog-tied so someone could put something in our mouths, no matter how good tasting!

She forgets to check the pockets... with nine sets of clothes every day, I don't blame her.

It got washed. But not driered. And there's a good chance it will recover.

Oooh, prayers sent. I know somewhat what you're going through. My mother is an alcoholic.

Yeah...or for some reason I am running like I'm waist - deep in molasses, R-E-A-L slow, or one of my legs is numb or something. Or I have no shoes.

Oh, and I'm always walking somewhere, even in my regular dreams - I seem to leave my car in odd places. A common dream is being stuck on a bad part of town and I have to walk home. Rather boring really ---it's just your garden-variety anxiety dream.

We actually were less than an hour apart. A few months back, my girls' father had a heart attack (he's ok thank God) but was unable to pay child support for a while. Because we were already planning a life together and for financial reasons, and to go ahead and get the kids started in school here, we move in together.

Now we just can't wait for it to be official .. and all our kids are excited too. :-)

that I had left my USB storage device - the most useful piece of hardware I own - in my jean Dry it really good and it should be fine. I have run mine through the washer 2 or 3 times. :P The problem with small things is that they are small hehehe.

I am happy for ya.... ecurbh came out here for a week, then decided to move. I was happy he felt portable, because It would have been quite a production to move all these horses and pets out there!
