>Nice pics!--looks like a fun project :)

This kind of stuff is a blast. Right up to the point where the muscle aches kick in. Which was about 10 minutes ago.

LOL! Don't the Elves or Ents make something to help soothe that? :)

Hi! May I join the Mildly Agoraphobic Club too? I will never shop on a weekend and I haven't been to a concert since Metallica was good

That qualifies you! Membership dues may be mailed to me :) I try to avoid shopping unless it's a bookstore. I don't like the crowds at concerts, but if it's a band I really like I'll go anyway and the music will eventually distract me enough to overcome that. Very rarely go, though--practically the only time I've ever gone to concerts was for a festival called Summerfest in my area. Saw Sting, Chicago, the Ramones, Talking Heads, Blondie, and Ringo Starr at various times there. The one time I don't mind crowds is at a football game when I'm rooting for my Packers, I guess then 'cause I'm in an aggressive mood and I'm part of the crowd rather than apart from it.

(...And Justice for All).

I was thinking more like Ride the Lightning :) That song "One" from that album was good, though--interesting premise.

...AJFA was the last concert I went to. "One" is not really my favorite song on the album. I prefer Eye of the Beholder, Frayed Ends of Sanity, Harvester of Sorrow, Dyers Eve.

Bookstores are the only place worth shopping at.

Hello, I'm home... getting excited about my trip out to Colorado this weekend.

Ride the Lightning is my favorite Metallica album. Actually when I was in my metal phase I tended to listen more to Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and AC/DC. Don't listen to that stuff much anymore, though--doesn't fit my mood, except maybe some of the more mellow/funky Led Zeppelin tunes. These days I tend to listen to more classical music, jazz, Bing Crosby, a lot slower-paced stuff.

Well, I also like Toys R Us :)

So what are your plans for your Colorado trip? BTW, I came up with some new story ideas last night--will tell you more later.

Hi...did you do your run yet?

For the record, I'm repeating week five, starting with day one. I only did two workouts yesterday, and jumping right in with something I wasn't able to complete last time I did it didn't seem wise. But I did day one today.

I think part of the problem is that I'm trying to go too fast. But jogging at a pace I can just about walk...it's hard mentally. I guess I just gotta keep reminding myself that speed will come later.

Metallica is classical music, no?

My usual mode is early jazz, classical music -- usually 1840-1935, but also some Baroque.(though we're looking to adopt a baby so right now enjoying my metal while I still can!)

My instrument is piano, so I prefer Ravel, Liszt, Prokofiev, Chopin, Schubert, and on the jazz side, the Duke, Basie, Joplin, Monk.

Big fan of the violin too, esp. the underrated jazz violin. Favorite combo: piano, bass, drums, violin, and a honey-dripping alto like The Divine Miss Sarah Vaughn.

Ugh, not yet. I have to but I have zero energy.

I'm repeating week 5, too. Of course my schedule's going to be knocked off with my trip... leavin Thursday so that's one less run.

Another hero has sailed into the West.

Msdrby's grandad, O.J. Johnson, passed away early this morning. He served his country in the US Navy during WW2. He had been in ill health for some time, and his passing in likely a blessing for him.
