Doughboy crawled out of his den today- is doing yardwork, possibly building a shed. More details to come...

Bob the elf-boy builder and I got into the front yard to start the work for a brick border ring around one of our trees.

The forms for a concrete foundation for the bricks to lay on.

The only good bunny is a fake bunny.

Some buried bricks left from the building of the house.

Elf-boy and theneighborboy put their names in the wet concrete.

Yes, I think you have good points there. I would listen to my parents' advice, but they'd never think of saying, "you can't marry so-and-so". They'd imply that it was a bad idea and I really shouldn't, but never forbid me to make that choice on my own.

Sounds like you have a good relationship with your parents.

Of course, since I don't believe in divorce, I have to be careful to make a good choice.

Well, those Mennonite and Amish guys don't even care about that.... They've been lookin' at the same dress and hairstyle their whole lives!

Yeah, my parents and I get along pretty well, as long as we don't see too much of each other. My mother and I have trouble communicating sometimes. Dad and I don't seem to need to; we're on pretty much the same frequency.

Yeah, and if my father were around to interrogate PE before we were married, PE would have passed his test with flying colors (red, white, and blue).

PE did meet my dad's family beforehand, but really, we knew we were *meant* for each other from the beginning, and I think I can speak for the both of us when I say that.

BTW, Rosie, I was almost 28 when elf-boy was born.

One thing to remember in Backgammon... make sure when you create a new game to set it to "private". No interlopers allowed!

And are you confused as to which one is the 'real' you? Or are they both sides, or masks?

Oh, not at all confused: the real me is the silly one :) I just don't feel comfortable being myself in certain situations, due to some bad experiences. Also, there are some situations I'm not interested in being in, so sometimes I'm semi-deliberately shy to distance myself from having to deal with them. I like reading and other "introverted" activities which some people don't care for; conversely, parties, bars, etc. don't really appeal to me, generally speaking, unless I happen to be with people I already know well.

To better clean his property, he used his lawnmower to break up the branches on the ground into smaller pieces. He was itching to use the lawnmower for *something*...Too funny.

Yes, I have a problem with larrge crowds in enclosed spaces making me claustrophobic. Noise also contributes to this... I can sit at a baseball game, or be at a rally, just fine, but at a party, if there's loads of people I don't know, and the music's on, I get nervous.

I think everyone should have a list of their interests tattooed across their forehead. Then you could say, "So you like Monty Python too! No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!"

LOL! I think that's one of the values of fan groups, that it increases your probability of meeting someone with similar interests. Of course if it's a Monty Python fan group it also increases the probability of meeting a Spanish Inquisitor--although no one expects such meetings :)

Wow, computers really are my life.

Besides, part of this whole 'move to Colorado' deal is the 'move 1500 miles from Pennsylvania' part, and most Amish don't get that far off the reservation.
