The Hobbit Hole VII - But not yet weary are our feet...

Posted on 03/15/2004 1:45:41 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

But not yet weary are our feet...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Heh, only I'm the one who gives the allowance. I never had an allowance, actually; so once I started making money, I didn't go nuts buying things because I still felt like I didn't have any money!

But I've got this part of me that say "$15 for a comic book... hmm, that's like three weeks worth of babysitting".

Wicked, tricksey, false. You wants it for youself. Doesn't share, no it doesn't, my Precious!

Speaking of which, have you decided what Race you are yet? :-)

Yes--makes it easier to get back to her coffin before the Sun rises. . .

Master and Mrs. Bowman! I am pleased to announce that we presented thegirl with your generous gift today. The craftsmanship of the bow, arrows, bow case and quiver are marvelous. It is obvious you both put much love and care into this project.

After a half hour with her bow, I'm convinced she will be a fine archer. Her neck, shoulders, and fingers are sore, but she is excited to keep with this new endeavor. She hit the hay bale three times at a range of fifteen yards, which ain't bad for never having shot a bow before. I've included some pictures of a very excited, and grateful girl... her form isn't bad... we'll be a'werkin' on it...

thanks osage and lsaggie... you are very special people... God bless yuh...

P.S. yuh got Freepmail...

Just 'cause a guy is prettier than the average women

I don't think of him as "pretty" ---now Elijah Wood is "pretty." So pretty that you almost have to be a Lesbian to be attracted to him.
