The side doors are awkward to use. I think if I worked on a ramp better than the temporary one I tried, he could learn. In the mean time I don't mind lugging the big lug once in a while.

Hmmm, not sure I quite see him as a "James Bond" type, but I could be convinced I suppose ;)
I really felt that Pierce Brosnan was one of the best, along with Sean Connery, but if we have to let him go we have to move on I guess.
Orlando is rather young, but perhaps they would work with that to give the series a fresh approach. I'm sure they would love him doing his own stunts too.

I used 1/2" plywood - it's heavy but the extra stiffness is worth it. I cut two pieces a little more than 12" wide and each 4' long. I installed two heavy strap hinges to join the two pieces together, with two blocks of 1x2 screwed to the back of the joint so the ramp couldn't flex through the join. I made cleats from sections of 1x2 and screwed them to the board about one puppy stride apart.
Painted the whole thing grey to match the interior of the Expedition. It worked very well until she was big enough to jump into the back (and her long bones had closed).

Keep your ramp around too, because as they age, the jump ~down~ out of vehicles becomes more painful than the jump up. My Logan needed help down out of the truck long before he needed help jumping up.
I am having a 'second morning'. I fell asleep again. Lazy hobbit.

Connery will always be Bond for me. ;)

Good heavens - Bloom as Bond? Ugh, I don't even watch James Bond films and that's just wrong.
Hullo all. Friday afternoon! The sun shines, though the weather is cold. Today is a good day.

I'll just build another one when that time comes (and may it be far off!)
I'm just besotted with this dog, she is such an athlete, such a good little girl, and she is so happy. I don't believe I've ever met a happier dog.

Well, I will be reserving judgment till I see him in it(if he even winds up being Bond).
Glad you at least have sunshine. We have mostly sunshine today too, but it is COLD, at least for us. Lots of lovely snow in the mountains, but looks like I won't get to party in it much (don't want to get buried in an avalanche...at least not this weekend!)
Is there still snow out there where you are?
To: HairOfTheDog
It's turning out to be a lovely day up here...is it nice down there? Are you letting the ponies out to play in the sunshine?
To: Penny1
They still have their blankets on but it is now sunny.... all morning it has been blustery rainy and a little hail.
Think I will take their blankets off now if this is gonna hold!

I'm gonna try that combo of the Tension Tamer and Mood Mender for PMS!

I told ya!! I know, I know. But I am completely smitten with my nephew.
He was a lifesaver last month during my Dad's passing. He's a bubbly, happy little guy and gave everyone a break from the stress and grief.

Uh-oh, I hope that doesn't mean the bluster and rain and hail is coming our way! :o With my luck it'll hit right when I'm getting on my bike to come home...
I hope they have fun in the sun today...Maybe we'll even hame some pictures, eh?
To: HairOfTheDog
Well, since they're looking to change the James Bond image to a younger, trendier kinda guy, they can't do any better than Orly!

Am learning the intricacies of Chief Architect 9.0. Gotta learn how to do the 'layers' so we can print out our house plans to take to the town Building Dept. for our remodeling permit.
