The Hobbit Hole VII - But not yet weary are our feet...
Posted on 03/15/2004 1:45:41 PM PST by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
But not yet weary are our feet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Good morning Penny!Bloom 'set to become' new James Bond?
3/18/04, 9:14 pm EST - Xoanon
digitalspy.co.uk passes along the dubious news: Pirates of the Carribean star Orlando Bloom is being lined up as the next James Bond. Film producers are apparently "desperate" to sign up the 27-year-old as a replacement for Pierce Brosnan, who retires from the role after the next movie. [More]

I'll bet! And especially certain specific movies...;)
I brought in TTT again today. I only managed to listen to parts of the first half the other day, so hopefully I'll get to finish it. Although I find myself wondering just how interesting all those long Helm's Deep battle scenes are going to be when i can't see it. It'll be a bunch of snorting, grunting and yelling...lol....
Still, it sure beats sitting here with my nose to the grindstone like I usually am. Does anyone know any good conservative radio stations or radio shows that offer live online streaming that's free? I've checked our local stations and am not finding any.
To: HairOfTheDog
Oh boy, the Orlando Bloom fans are going to go ga-ga over that news!
Good morning, btw! :)

I know Hannity streams in the afternoon. Might be able to get old shows other times o' the day. 'Round here WBAL and WMAR stream, but they tend to focus on local/Baltimordor issues.

Might get me to see another James Bond! The last ten years of James Bond have been rather dull.
He's young, but he'd have appeal in that character, the idea that he is athletic and would do his own stunts would make him pretty good for the part.

Hi, trini! So...when do we get the full report?

I'm also fond of WXPN- a progressive/singer songwriter station. They've got a nice variety of music but they do skew really liberal. Listening to Amy Mann right now- anybody remember 'Till Tuesday?
