The Hobbit Hole VII - But not yet weary are our feet...
Posted on 03/15/2004 1:45:41 PM PST by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
But not yet weary are our feet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Mmm, whatever, I never found a 'cool' superheroine. Had to settle for Eowyn and such. What a loss.Hmmm--we need to find a cool superheroine for you, then--need to think here. . .Elektra is kinda like a female Wolverine, except she kinda turns criminal later, so that part doesn't fit you--same problem with Phoenix--hmmm, need to think on this. . .

Stevens' has that classic crooner voice that just curls the toes.... Don't tell me, you too....I just do not see the appeal of him. And I like Sinatra. I have never before disagreed so completely with Simon.

I didn't have Underoos either. My brother had plenty of them though.
When were Underoos started?

I dunno what it is. He's got a voice that's set aprt from the rest. I think you'll change your mind if he makes it to Big Band night. :-)

She's reduced to a little red x-in-a-box? OH... how cruel life is sometimes...
To: Fedora
You know, I actually spent time trying to teach myself how to do that thing she did with her nose?

Jan was OK... but ooohh... Marcia.
I haven't seen a recent picture of her, but by now I suppose she's had enough facelifts that her hairline is somewhere back behind her ears.
To: Ramius
Awww! I got a hug and a hello from Becky on IM tonight!!! :-)
She misses me and wants to come to Texas to see me! :-)
