President Bush traveled to New York today to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony for the Nassau County 9/11 Memorial in Eisenhower Park, Long Island, being built in memory of the 281 residents of Nassau County who lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks, and visited with families of the victims. Before he left, he made a statement to the press regarding the terrorist attack in Madrid, Spain.
He also visited USA Industries, an automotive parts manufacturing company in Bay Shore, New York, and spoke to workers about the economy and jobs training. He then attended a fund raiser with Rudy Giuliani and Governor Pataki.
There are lots of fabulous pictures today, so enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose !!

I too miss Spotty, especially when he gets off Marien 1. I have many pictures of that and them in Crawford. She sure was a sweet, loyal pet.

Want to hear something pathetically funny? While in the doctor's office, I was exposed to a swabbing material with something on it for the lab work that created a VERY painful, intense, allergic reaction! I am sufferin' tonight. LOL Go to the doctor's and get sicker!

You might want to check tomorrow the Hannity & Colmes
site for any write up of Rudy G's appearance tonight.
Rush or Sean may talk about this on the radio tomorrow.

I have been going slowly through the comments tonight, I just caught up to yours.
My computer is so slow tonight. I think I'm going to run my virus scan in a few minutes. It's making me crazy!!!!

I just noticed that you live in Washington State. Lucky you, that is a beautiful place.
I lived in Bellingham for about a year and loved it!

Fortunately not, re latex.
The last dental crown I had turned into a fiasco, though. The dentist and his assitant, using their latex-gloved hands, were packing the deep insides of the tooth before placing the crown on it and I asked if they could tell me why my jaw was swelling up so much. This startled them, and upon checking, they realized this was true. I could smell clove and asked -- never dreaming that I was smelling it because they were packing it onto my tooth root -- why I smelled clove. They said they pack that in because it helps soothe the nerve, etc. I said, "I'm allergic to clove."
LOL they flipped out. Wanted to know why I hadn't told them this before they started. It wasn't my first crown at this dental office, but it was the first time they'd use clove oil. I politely explained that it never came up before. They were a bit unhappy because they had to undo a lot of work to get to the clove oil and get all traces of it out, because they couldn't risk the results (and didn't want to remove a cemented-in crown in an emergency night call, I'm sure!).
I think they may have changed their procedures after that, to ask patients about a clove allergy.
You ever heard of anyone being allergic to cloves?

I've only driven through Bellingham -- it's colder there than where I am, snuggled into the area near the majestic waters of mid-Puget Sound. I love the country here, I cannot think of a more beautiful place to live, but I sure do hate being so outnumbered by the wildminded people.

I don't know why this is so slow. Maybe it's not just my computer then.
I did run that virus scan and I found out that I had a trojan worm, but the system took care of it and it's still very slow.
So maybe it's something in the satellites or something like that!
