Here is a perfect example of how the left see's the whole Gay Marriage issue.

This article starts and I quote "I'm going to be up front and say this: If you're against gay marriage, you're a bigot."

I guess according to Noah Potvin, I am a bigot. I personally have a huge issue with Gays getting "MARRIED".

Conservatives cried out in shock and dismay, claiming that "traditional family values" were in danger of being undone as the "gay agenda" would inevitably destroy this nation's moral infrastructure.

I loathe those three words. They are the right wing trump's card the battle cry of those who yearn for the days of white power and Christian dominance.

The tone of the article is arrogant and contemptuous. He/she/it is telling us to bow and grovel, or just cook in our redneck stew. The new age is upon us. Progress marches or something on. All rednecks are being kicked off the train. The homosexual community is 'loving' (proof? Statistics?)

In a war, it is imperative to know the mindset and plans of the opposition. And when the opposition wants to destroy you, it is sheer insanity not to use intelligence, and take appropriate action.

The "gay" activists and their handmaidens they hold in thrall hate us (those who are convinced of the necessity of moral absolutes), hate those moral absolutes, and THEY WANT OUR CHILDREN. If we don't fight this, we join them in causing our own destruction.

My considered opinion (FWIW!) is that the "gay" activists and their minions in the media and so on are going to be shocked by the reaction that is starting the take shape. A tsunami, when out in the ocean, doens't look very big, but when comes up to the shallows near the shore, grows huge. Similarly, I think (and of course hope with all my heart) that the regular people of America will wake up and their wave of indignation and righteous anger will swell and tower over those who want to destroy the moral base of our country.

Homosexuals and those who support their agenda are living in a dream world. (I call it a nightmare.) Their lives are founded neither on religious principles nor on logic, reason, or fact, but on the twisted phantasmagoria created by their minds' illicit and confused desires. They remind me of a fellow I knew years ago who used to like to ingest belladonna as a drug - he would hallucinate so much that he was literally living in an alternate reality. One that didn't exist.

The truth about the "gay" agenda - what they do, what they want for the rest of us, their dysfunctional, miserable lives - needs to get publicized. The more the citizenry know the truth, the more the sleeping giant will awaken.

I agree, and I fervently hope you are right- if this situation progresses much further I believe it will be the end of this country as a decent and civil place to live.

The entire idea should have been laughed out of existence when it first surfaced, instead of being allowed to get a toehold in the national coversation. I have long believed that the attempts to write hate crimes laws were aimed at silencing opposition to the gay agenda ( among other things, of course ) and that by allowing "hate crime" to be talked about like it is a worthy ideal was foolish.

The very idea of a "hate crime" is hateful. According to the "hate crimes" philosophy, if someone attacks my aged father, (who is hard of hearing, sight and feeble - and white) this is not as heinous a crime as someone attacking a homosexual or someone of a different race. That is a psychotic and descpicable position.

I was highly irritated with this article. The person writing it is an idiot. I believe that marriage is between man and woman in the eyes of God. I do believe that homosexuals and their "agenda" will be the downfall of this great nation. Homosexuals choose their lifestyle, they are not born gay, they choose it. With that choice comes penalties. The nerve of this article to claim that there is no Homosexual Agenda is crazy. For years Gays have been slowly numbing the U.S. to their sick lifestyle. JUST LOOK AT PRIME TIME TV, HOW MANY GAYS ARE ON TV ? I am sick of them shoving this lifestyle in my face. This article is a great illustration of how the Left & Homosexual's view the Right.

You said it. It's outrageous; it is saying some are more special than others. Just punish the actual crime, not the intent.

If any amendment or any other law is passed, they had better be very specific. Such as "between 1 man and 1 unrelated woman". Heck, they may even have to specify they are human.

I have no proof but I believe it is either/or. Both genetics and environment tend to produce similar results. See, I believe in defects. I believe homosexuality is a defect (assuming 1 was born that way). I also believe pedophiles (almost always homo men) and the like push a lot of people into homosexuality - even if they're loathe to admit this.

Either way doesn't matter; it's abnormal and abnormalities don't get special dispensation to be treated normally in all cases. If they're defective, they shouldn't expect certain things in life. And I'm sure there are plenty homos out there who don't - but as usual w/more conservative types, they're silent.

Imagine my surprise when I was messing around with search engines the other night to find one of my old articles posted on such a ridiculous online forum as this.

I have to say, you and the rest of your highly intelligent(and I say that with the utmost sarcasm) band of self-proclaimed rednecks have come up with such highly original ideas and concepts.

You say the moral fabric of this country has turned into toilet paper and I highly agree, but I see it more as a result of hate mongers like yourself who are unable to comprehend those different than yourselves.

I lack the energy and will to state my case to somebody who's so blatantly beyond help as yourself so I'll simply propose this: if you can come up with even ONE credible reason as to why gays should not be offered the same rights as an asshole like yourself, I will stand corrected.
