I agree, and I fervently hope you are right- if this situation progresses much further I believe it will be the end of this country as a decent and civil place to live.

The entire idea should have been laughed out of existence when it first surfaced, instead of being allowed to get a toehold in the national coversation. I have long believed that the attempts to write hate crimes laws were aimed at silencing opposition to the gay agenda ( among other things, of course ) and that by allowing "hate crime" to be talked about like it is a worthy ideal was foolish.

The very idea of a "hate crime" is hateful. According to the "hate crimes" philosophy, if someone attacks my aged father, (who is hard of hearing, sight and feeble - and white) this is not as heinous a crime as someone attacking a homosexual or someone of a different race. That is a psychotic and descpicable position.
