America will never seek a permission slip to defend the security of our country!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
President Bush visited Missouri, on the heels of Criminal Party wannabees, and lashed out at the efforts of those who would deny making many of his tax cuts permanent. The marriage penalty reduction, for example, is set to expire next year and would result in a tax increase to many folks. The President is correctly characterizing the effort, predominately being carried on by Criminal Party members in Washington, as a potential tax increase on America.
United States intelligence has ascertained there are several training facilities in Pakistan for terrorists. After training, the terrorists are routed through Europe and on to the United States where they are joining sleeper cells, merely waiting for orders and money to carry out attacks on America.
For many of the soldiers serving in Iraq, the search for WMDs is secondary--they say that capturing Saddam has made going to war justified.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

One more thing, I heard today that Kerry voted against the military pay raise several years back.

The transcript of the press conference is finally up on the White House web site. A quick perusal shows this statement:
And would the White House consider those actions by Senator Kerry, that Jeff mentions fair game in the political season?
If I am reading it correctly, the reporter who drilled Kerry is named Jeff.
Your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to first verify my quick reading of the transcript and then to figure out who in the White House press corps is named Jeff.

I wish I'd seen that question and those shocked faces. We need more reporters like this lone one asking those kinds of questions.
The media powers will probably put a contract out on whoever the reporter was. My blood pressure can't tolerate a re-watch on CSAN, but when the transcipt comes out maybe we can find out who the reporter was.
I'd send him or her a dozen roses.

That's a good idea, prairie, to read the transcript.

I saw the reporter. He was so upset with the other reporters' remarks his voice was actually quivering.
Give that guy a raise...

kayak, I quickly skimmed, but can't find any question like that. I can't stand to carefully read the whole thing. If you get back to it, could you please copy and post that part?

Those reporters WERE shocked and my first thought was THIS is how we feel EVERY day listening to outrageous, shocking things from the press and the Rats.
FOR ONCE they had a taste of their own medicine.
Kerry has voted against every military proposal he's ever seen, I think. His treatment of his fellow vets is deplorable!

Q Are you ready to take questions on a different subject?
MR. McCLELLAN: We're still on this topic, right?
Q Since there have been so many questions about what the President was doing over 30 years ago, what is it that he did after his honorable discharge from the National Guard? Did he make speeches alongside Jane Fonda, denouncing America's racist war in Vietnam? Did he testify before Congress that American troops committed war crimes in Vietnam? And did he throw somebody else's medals at the White House to protest a war America was still fighting? What was he doing after he was honorably discharged?
MR. McCLELLAN: We've already commented on some of his views relating back to that period the other day. And, obviously, this was a time period also when he was going to get his MBA at Harvard. But the President was certainly proud to serve in the National Guard.
Q And would the White House consider those actions by Senator Kerry, that Jeff mentions fair game in the political season?
MR. McCLELLAN: Terry, I think -- I know that that's a way to try to draw us into a Democratic primary that is ongoing.
Q You're there, my friend. (Laughter.)
It seems to me that McClellan is addressing someone right at the end of this excerpt named Terry ... and that Terry makes reference to Jeff (the second to last 'Q' in this excerpt) as the one who brings up Kerry's post-service behavior.
I missed the press conference and probably won't be home tonight in time to catch any re-runs. But from the part of this transcript I skimmed, no one has exaggerated the ugliness and viciousness of the media.

My goodness. I am so sorry I've missed that exchange. I am about ready to close down for the day and head out. Hopefully, I will be home in time to view the clips on Hannity & Crumbs.
