The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

'Cept I don't even know if he's single (though it sounds like he is) or lives in the area! I just heard from the kids that there were older siblings, and that was as much as I got out of 'em. Yeesh...the things I do for them, and they can't even do a little spying for me??

You know, sometimes I just hate Valentine's Day.LOL!! That's one holiday SSQ and I never got too excited about. Last year he bought me some roses and a little bear, and a rose and a balloon for Clare, but that's the most I ever remember getting. It just has never been that important to me. He had suggested going out for dinner this weekend, but it will be zooey everywhere! I suggested instead that next weekend we go over to Northhampton (Smith College) to see a musical group that I just LOVE. It is Anonymous 4, an acappela singing group of 4 women who do mainly early music. I have several of their Christmas CDs and they've done medieval Hungarian and British carols. I also have a CD of theirs doing music written by the medieval abbess, Hildegard of Bingen. It's like listening to angels! Their newest, and last CD, as a group, is "American Angels" and it has a lot of older spiritual music on it including shape note music. This is their final tour as a group, so I really wanted to see them! We're gonna drive over next Friday and go out to dinner before the concert. That'll be Valentine's enough for me! I do want to get him a card, though, we usually do at least that! ;o)

Any scouting item you'd like to pass down to us would be greatly appreciated! Maybe when we moot?
I just got the last load of laundry (that I'm gonna do tonight) on the line...it won't dry till tomorrow though, it froze solid within minutes of hanging it!
I took down a few items that were frozen from earlier...hung them in the enclosed porch. Namely Steve's jeans that he needs for work. I have a space heater and a fan blowing on them, they'll dry quick...they were almost dry when they froze.

And I got the chickens in for the night.
Whew. I'm beat!
But my back (that's been giving me grief) hasn't been so bad today, dispite the fact that I've mopped and vacuumed. It's sitting that seems to make it hurt! Still, I can tell my Aleve is beginning to wear off.

*sigh* She's really not good at that sort of thing.
Stephen could actually probably find out a lot - he WOULD be good at that. Except for one thing...he's infatuated with one of the girls, and therefore probably won't look beyond that.
Siblings...grrr! They should think of others occasionally...namely, ME!

Good afternoon! Or evening, I mean. I'm so confused today I hardly know which way is up. I keep thinking it's Friday...and earlier than it is. Tomorrow may be rough.

Do you think the northers comin' in affect your back 2J? We got that one in yesterday and this morning I've got a mild crick in my neck. Seems like it's usually weather related (if I don't bash my own head.) Maybe that's part of your backaches.
I haven't taken any aleve yet today cause it makes me so sleepy. But, an hour or so before I go to bed I sure will take it. Matter of fact, I've already got it sittin' out.
Well, I got all my stuff hung up in my new room now. So that's officially done! I like it too. :-)
That's my room done and Myranda's new room done. I still have to get in there and do my library. Lots of stuff to go through in there and some of it will probably end up in my room also.
BUT, I am also rearranging part of my den to give me more room in my little office/computer corner. Started that when I got home from work today also.... so now that part of the house is a mess. But, I'm workin' on it!

Well with this visit this weekend you should be able to find out all the scoop! Hopefully they'll have a talkative sibling and you won't even have to ask much. Just be interested in listening to their gabbing!

Hey all! Just got an email from the guy who replaced Tom. It's short and sweet. Here ya go!
You dont have to worry about anything that is sent not being eaten. We are a hungry bunch I tell ya! Gardettos are a favorite around here. I guess Tom and myself are alot more alike than we think. I just bought a new laptop myself, but it was delivered to my Moms house since they wouldnt ship to an APO. Well, its good to hear from you and tell everyone thanks for all the love and attention thnat is sent our way. perk
