What?? It comes in pints? :-)

LOL! I was just thinking of that line today because I was thinking about St. Patrick's Day and thinking of an Irish Pub :)

There's a great Irish pub in Seattle that I've been to many times. It's called Kell's. It's been there since forever. Lot's of good live Irish music and singalongs... big fun. They had Guiness on tap thirty years ago, when it was impossible to find anywhere else.

The only hangup is that it's an oldschool IRA sort of bar. Not sure how to feel about that. I've loved Kells for years, but I don't cotton to the IRA.

Oh that's right, it was a little whistle that Bilbo played! Knew it wasn't his bagpipes, though he played those out on the beach. How are he and Mug doing? Tell them Hi for me!

Much easier to remember than what they used to be.

You mean like this one? "Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun"
Marketing is an evil thing! ;o)

I picked up the latest dozen knives from the engraver. While chatting with the guy, I had a minor brainstorm. I asked him if we could get a price break if he left the coating on the blades, and I cleaned them off when I got them home. That's less time and bother for him, and gets us a better price. I hope.

He said he'd think it over. We'll find out when I take the next batch in. Keep praying for that post office insurance.

I like Guinness. Never had it on tap--sounds good :) Don't like the IRA. My maternal Grandmother's Irish.

oooh, my... you haven't had Guiness until you've had it on tap, and drawn by someone who knows what they're doing. Most beertenders can't do it right.

Pouring a proper Guiness is an art. Since there is no nitrogen pressurization allowed, it pours very slow under natural pressure.

At Kells, they make a special art of wiggling the pint just as they shut off the tap... making a shamrock shape in the top of the head. It's a thing to behold, and I have yet to see anyone else be able to do it.

I'm pretty well-bailed, depending on how you define that.

Ohgodohgodohgod... they're playing bon jovi now on the jukebox. I may have to leave.

Keep praying for that post office insurance.

You know you've got those kind of prayers!!!

Hey, driving down tonight I saw a For Sale sign on a '66 (I think) GTO convertible! I got goosebumps all over, heart was going pitter patter, almost broke out in a cold sweat.... but I kept driving and resisted the temptation to stop and look. Sure was a pretty sight though!

Tangerine Orange Zinger

MMmmm... I love that stuff. But my favorite is still the plain old Red Zinger.
