The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

So, what are ya'll sayin' here? That it would be impossible for a girl to come up there for a visit and find a single straight guy?

Sodom and Gommorah's springing up all over the place. It seems pretty well-coordinated. Makes me wonder how they planned it and what the goals and next phase of their plan are. Were they trying to make it an election-year issue or what? That's my first guess, except it seems like that strategy is backfiring on them by increasing support for a constitutional amendment, so I wonder if that was a miscalculation on their part of if there's more to their game plan we haven't seen yet.

<laughing> Oh, never get me started! What great silly fun!
To: Wneighbor
Well, after today you couldn't find a married straight guy there either.

No lie! Just temporary insanity!

Roger that. Too bad that that's where the nearest Dick's Drive-In is. Love those burgers. Dick's Deluxe. The best dang burger there is.
I used to love the old radio commercials that Dick's Drive-in used to run. Had the voice of a cutesy-cheerleader type yelling "I just loooove ____". It was hysterical.
Of course it led to the selling of "Dick's" signature paper cups in massive volumes. No kegger worth it's salt in the greater Seattle area would even think of serving beer in something other than "Dick's" cups.

Oops. Meant to post 13101 to you too. :-)

Nope.
Best burgers in the whole world are at Chris Madrid's in San Antonio. May not have the same caliber of signature cups... but they have the best burgers!

hehehe... well, no. Not unless you got in a cab and asked them to take you to Capitol Hill. In that case, the odds are poorer than average. :-)
To: Fedora
They're trying to create a societal revolution by force of will. This isn't an election issue...they have crossed the Rubicon, and the left has gone with them. If they are repelled in this effort, all the blue zone cities that went with them will next attempt some form of open disobedience to the law. Only force will stop those cities from disobeying even a Constitutional amendment. Then you will be looking at secession in some form -- San Francisco already has that as an undercurrent and Seattle and Portland would be right there is push came to shove.
They will either get their way or move to section off some geography just for themselves. This is the left's civil war.

To: Wneighbor
I'm sorry that you're wrong about that. It isn't my fault. :-) If you had a Dick's Deluxe you would agree. Promise.
To: Ramius
I'm not too sure about the area... but I don't think that was the direction I was heading... :-)

Is there such a thing as pita mix for breadmakers or do you have to make it in the oven like that? I don't think there's any way you could do it in a breadmaker. They don't make anything but loaves, do they?
I probably should splurge one of these days and get a couple more baking sheets from the thrift store. Then I could have 'em all rolled out and ready and I'd just have to stand and flip them as I cooked.
Made hummus tonight, so the flavors have a chance to blend before tomorrow. Should be tasty, though I got impatient and didn't let the beans cook QUITE as long as I should have, so it doesn't have the smoothest texture. Ah well. Still good.

I don't think so honey. If you had Chris Madrid's you'd see my point!
Hey Rose, can you chime in on this one? You know Chris Madrid's don't ya?
