Is there such a thing as pita mix for breadmakers or do you have to make it in the oven like that? I don't think there's any way you could do it in a breadmaker. They don't make anything but loaves, do they?
I probably should splurge one of these days and get a couple more baking sheets from the thrift store. Then I could have 'em all rolled out and ready and I'd just have to stand and flip them as I cooked.
Made hummus tonight, so the flavors have a chance to blend before tomorrow. Should be tasty, though I got impatient and didn't let the beans cook QUITE as long as I should have, so it doesn't have the smoothest texture. Ah well. Still good.

I also have a bread machine recipe, but you hafta take it out and bake it in the oven once it is ready for baking.
As for Hummus, yum! Few weeks ago, I made hummus, tabouli, and felafel. Bought the pita bread (I chickened out). Now I think I am craving some Greek food. tzadziki... and shish kabobs.
Tzadziki
Yield: about 3 cups
Serve as a dip with pita triangles, as a salad served on lettuce leaves, or as a side course for grilled meats and spicy foods such as curry.
* 2 medium-size cucumbers
* 2 cups yogurt
* 4 cloves garlic, minced
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
Peel the cucumbers and slice in half lengthwise. With a spoon, scoop out the seeds and discard. Grate the cucumber coarsely and place in a medium-size bowl. Stir in yogurt, garlic, and salt. Garnish with parsley. Chill at least 30 minutes and serve.
mmm.

I like the Athenos line of hummus--lotsa good flavors :) Like tabouli, too.
