Though...that's kinda in there, isn't it.

Sorry...my reading comprehension skills dwindle dramatically after nine thirty. ;-)

btw; Gov't trucks, they're all the same, Dodge's slant sixes ran good as long as you topped the oil every day.

Our FDC truck burned a quart of oil ever hundred miles, and I considered that a tad excessive, even for a government truck. The guy who lost the engine must have lost every drop of oil between one stop and the next.

It should be a lot of fun for him, though, learning and then picking the right one! Sounds like quite an adventure.

There was someone giving away two fairly young horses here. Makes me wonder what the story is there. I hope it's happy...and that they end up in a good home.

Oh dear God... somebody else that knows about Fritz the Cat. This will not end well. :-)

I've heard of it--never actually seen it--thankfully! Bakshi's Wizards and Fire and Ice were enough for me! :)

I've got a bad feeling about this...

Well, I'm for bed. See you all tomorrow! Rosie, we did good today! Hope tomorrow lets us recover before we have to do it all again Wednesday.

Ouch. That hurts.

That's appropos: so did the film :)

Hmm, thanks for the kick in the pants - I did 1800 words, mostly thinking up interesting things tourists would do if they were visiting Earth. Should finish off this chapter tomorrow.

Cool!

Except...wasn't 'The Hobbit' Rankin and Bass?

Yes--we were imagining what would happen if Bakshi remade it :)

I think I'm going to attempt pita bread tonight. Haven't ever tried that and I'm wondering if it'll work...

I have a recipe for pita bread, if you are interested. I have not yet tried it though.

I'd forgotten how much I hate space travel. . .

Well, I'm for bed. See you all tomorrow!

Have a good night!

From my cousin's husband Paul, who received a HH knife in late January (blame me for not posting this before ... he was right on time!):

Thanks for the knife, but most of all thanks for your support.

God Bless You all,

Paul

And from my cousin, Dianne, a day or two later:

Hi ... Paul received the Hobbit Hole knife earlier in the week. It is a nice knife. Thank you and all of the group.

I usually buy pita bread, don't know how to make it. Is it hard?

Me too! I think I'm gonna be stiff tomorrow.

But I'm impressed with us right now! ;-)

I have one that looks fairly easy...from a cookbook I trust. But I seem to remember when we made them when I was little, they didn't puff up the way they were supposed to. But then...our oven wasn't exactly great. And I'm mostly planning on eating them as is rather than using the pocket anyway.

Didn't have time to try it tonight, though. Maybe tomorrow!

I have both kinds of space in my series ... hyper and real!

What should I know about hyperspace?

When I told elf-boy he would be a big brother, he went around telling everyone that he was having a little sister named Hermoine.

It's a pretty basic dough...then you hafta roll it out and bake it. In theory, you wait until it puffs a bit and then turn it. I don't think it's that hard, if you get it right.

I'll let you know tomorrow! The hardest part for me is going to be baking them, as I only have one cooky sheet and it'll take time to do them a few at a time.
