btw; Gov't trucks, they're all the same, Dodge's slant sixes ran good as long as you topped the oil every day.

Our FDC truck burned a quart of oil ever hundred miles, and I considered that a tad excessive, even for a government truck. The guy who lost the engine must have lost every drop of oil between one stop and the next.

The one I had blow was an 11 liter Dodge diesel. It was a steel sleeved iron block design. One of the sleeves split, I'm not sure what else was lunched at the same time.

It left a very impressive steam screen. The problem with that was the tailpipe exited under the Front bumper, my vision was obscured.
