                  | My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky
 I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
 through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
 my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Bashers

The bashers really make me laugh,
They pick their whining point.
They shout and cry and jump about,
Their nose gets out of joint.
Immigration seems to be,
The one they like the best.
They offer no real counter plan,
Just buzz around like pests.
They say theyll vote for someone else,
Well heck that is their right.
Some say, that they, will just not vote,
That really isnt bright.
If democrats should win this thing,
Because we get distracted.
Weve shot our nation in the foot,
The pain will be protracted.
To anyone thats on the right,
My free advice will be.
Vote for Bush in Oh Oh Four,
Hes still the one, youll see.

In keepig with todays theme of memory banks I just now got this in my email....

ATTITUDE

The 92-year-old, petite, well-poised and proud lady, who is fully dressed each morning by eight o'clock, with her hair fashionably coifed and makeup perfectly applied, even though she is legally blind, moved to a nursing home today. Her husband of 70 years
recently passed away, making the move necessary.

After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home, she smiled sweetly when told her room was ready. As she maneuvered her walker to the elevator, I provided a visual description of her tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been hung on her window.

"I love it," she stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having just been presented with a new puppy. "Mrs. Jones, you haven't seen the room just wait." "That doesn't have anything to do with it,"
she replied. "Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my room or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged. It's how I arrange my mind. I already decided to love
it ..... "It's a decision I make every morning when I wake up. I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I have with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed and be thankful for the ones that do. Each day is a gift, and as long as
my eyes open I'll focus on the new day and all the happy memories I've stored away, just for this time in my life...."

Old age is like a bank account ... you withdraw from what you've put in. So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank account of memories. Thank you for your part in filling my
Memory bank. I am still depositing.

No, I don't mind. It was just a little ditty. I'm happy that you were inspired to write, that's the important thing.

    Memories

How sweet the silent backward tracings!
The wanderings as in dreams--the meditation of old times resumed
--their loves, joys, persons, voyages.

     holding my breath
 in anticipation of seeing you

at first glance I cannot find you
and then from behind the post
 you appear, flowers in hand
 I exhale

finally alone, away from the world
we share that long awaited embrace
we kiss, we melt into each other

 hold my heart
how I've longed for this moment

 you take my breath away
 my heart pounds with exhilaration
as I respond to your touch
and we lose ourselves in our passionate lovemaking

all i want is to breathe you into me
 hold my breath
 steal my heart
lock the door and leave the world behind us

    waiting for that first glimpse
anticipation heightens with each passing moment
my heart skips a beat when you first appear
memories of our previous meeting
still fresh in my mind

as you draw near
I make my presence known
our emotions reflected on our faces
as we realize we can begin building new memories
to be savored when we are apart
