Quote: "He only got concerned when he got caught, and not a minute sooner."
This is indeed, incorrect. Rush checked himself into rehab twice before to help with his addiction. He tried to do this without interrupting his career and dedication to hi fans. It, unfortunately, was unsuccessful. It was when he got "caught" that he was able to "fully" get help and take an extended leave to do it.

ALL RIGHT...am glad this man was called on the carpet. Lawyers are going to ruin this country.
Rush, I first heard about you when I was freshly graduated from college and newly married. I started listening to you, only find myself thinking I had been having those thoughts all along, but never with as much clarity and focus. THANK YOU for what you do, and I thank God for Him gifting America with you.
God Bless you, Rush, and may He keep you in His Hands.

Great Job! Glad he had you on! :)

Al Franken as the supposed nemesis of Rush in an unfunny propaganda national network, soon to fail. It has to START before it can fail. I'll believe it when I see (or hear) it.

I wanted to express that too him. I tried to get in as much as I could with the little time I had to say. I wanted to let him know that there are scores of people that believe the way I do as well. Thank you for the compliment.

First you say this:
"Only a scoundrel should reap such a weak defense as "sympathy."
Then in your very next sentence you say this:
"In ALL the many years I heard Rush, not ONCE did I ever hear him mention back trouble . . . NEVER."
Wouldn't Rush be guilty of seeking the very sympathy you accuse him of by mentioning his back trouble. Just because you didn't know about it doesn't mean it didn't exist.

Understand your attitude about Rush, although I find it a bit harsh. What I do not understand is turning to Hannity. To me he is nothing more than a media opportunist with limited intellect.

Al Franken as the supposed nemesis of Rush in an unfunny propaganda national network, soon to fail. It has to START before it can fail. I'll believe it when I see (or hear) it. This will launch in time for propaganda purposes before the general election.. It is a form of campaign fraud to get around financial restrictions. It will fail ultimately big time, but I agree skepticism requires a wait and see attitude.

I'm sure someone of your viewpoint would have demoted and fired Churchill, Patton, and McArthur for drinking, cursing, and arguing with superiors (respectively) too. Of course, had narow narrow thinking such as yours prevailed then, we would be be slaves or lampshades now. Brilliant.

You make a good point. I didn't think of the start date coinciding with the election, but it makes perfect sense.

Gut check -- would we really feel the same if "Clinton" and "cocaine" were substituted for "Rush" and "pain killers" in your paragraph? Reality check ... both were outed for their addictions, Rush to pain meds, Toon to sex. One person faced up to reality and sought treatment, made his mea culpa speech, and is squaring away. The other chose to lie, obsfucate, tear down the REAL victims that existed in HIS case. One bent [no pun intended] every rule and law possible and obstructed justice; the other person simply wants existing laws regarding privacy to be followed and have an accurate hearing of the truth in the courts, not the press.
Gee, which one is which? Enough of a gut check for you?

I just heard you speaking with Rush. It was a great call & this is a fabulous tribute to a great man. I feel the same way about Rush. I wonder how he is able to stand up to his enemies day after day. I am just happy that he can. I love you too Rush. You are the best!

Many thanks to you, Writer33 for your BEAUTIFUL post about Rush Limbaugh. I read it at
http://www.rushlimbaugh.com and it took my breath away.
(Amazing!!)
I just can't believe that last night I was also thinking about Rush, reading an issue of Rush's Magazine, and the thought crossed my mind of how precious he is to us.
I even looked at his picture on the March 2003 issue and saw a sweetness in him I'd really never seen before. Looking at the in-depth interviews he does with knowledgeable professional people in his newsletter each issue, I realized that we are not alone.
Yes. There are great, wonderful and intelligent educated people in America who stand with us all.
May I add also, that I have the same feeling when listening to the Judicial Watch Report on Saturday mornings. The calibur of their guests does the same to me, makes me gasp in admiration and stunned shock sometimes, realizing that the Liberal Media lies to us, tells us "nobody" is on our side....
Damn the liberal liars!
And Bless those who come forward to declare the Truth!

At the heart of conservatim are Judeo-Christian values and one of the primary values is that men are fallible and that forgiving others is a requirement for being forgiven. Those others you mention are mere men, also. Sooner or later they will dissapoint you, too. Once you have become disillusioned with them, are you just going to search out someone else and hope that THEY rise up to your lofty requirements?
