Five days after the Packers bowed out of the playoffs in frustrating fashion, Ed Donatell was fired as the team's defensive coordinator. Tight ends coach Jeff Jagodzinski was also let go. Story to come

No the Packers season ended by allowing a 4th and 26 to get converted. When the other team needs to cover more than 1/4 of the field in one play you should win, if they succeed you deserve to lose.

The entire game and the blunders that the Packers made. Sorry, but the Eagles didn't look that good. Spin it any way you like and be happy your team is playing this week.

"the packers lost to a better team, why can no one deal with this?"NEWSFLASH: "Successful" 4th and 26's are NOT made by an offense, but BLOWN by a defense.
If not for that absurd anomoly, we'd be talking about the patently impotent Eagle offense with NO passing game, and McNabbs propensity to have turned every pass play into a Chinese fire-drill against a mediocre Green Bay defense.
Someone like Bill Belicheck and his Patriots would shut the Eagles down COMPLETELY. (Oh, I forgot -- he's ALREADY proven that this year)

You haven't seen bitterness until you see Philly fans after yet another choke. Don't know if the Panthers will win, but if they don't turn the ball over, they will run roughshod over the Eagles defense like everyone else. Their front D line will seriously hound McNabb, and they are quicker to catch him scrambling than the Pack were. Don't count your chickens yet! That said, enjoy the game, we can talk all the smack we want here as a respite from politics, but the big boys have to go out and play the game.

The entire gameincluding the 51 minutes during which BRETT FAVRE (swoon) managed all of three points?
the packers got beaten by a better team, and the NFL doesn't need packers' fans acceptance of that in order to schedule the NFC championship.

Undeserved?
I guess it was Westbook's fault that the NY Football Giants can't cover a punt.
It's also the Eagles fault that John Kasay, misses three FG's and a extra point on his own field.
It's the Eagles fault that GB can't stop the Eagles with 2 minutes left on the Monday night game
It's the Eagles fault that Sherman makes bad decisions, does 4th and 26 come to mind? Then Favre hoists up another duck, blames Javon Walker and the GB defense can't stop the Eagles from getting the additonal 25 yards they need for Akers to kick the FG.
Those games were there for the taking. And when it came down to it, the other teams couldn't get it done.

If not for that absurd anomolyso I guess every first down from the 2nd quarter on was an anomaly? akers making 2 clutch FGs in the windy end was an anomaly? McNabb making gbaja-bia-whatever look like a drunken fool was an anomaly? brett favre throwing like a girl because ike reese was about to tattoo him was an anomaly?
here, have a rattle.

It was universally condemned thrown by Favre. Favre is a lot of things, loopy being high on that list, overrated is not on that list at all. He's a great QB with a penchant for doing two stupid things a game, but it must be suffered through because when he tries not to do stupid things he loses his fire and becomes a pretty good QB.

Accidents do happen -- it's the ONLY way the Beagles can win. Just ask the Giants. The Beagle won that game with McNabb heaving the ball downfield for a total of abour 82 yards -- yet they won the game on a freak punt return.
BTW, please reference my post #43.

Last year he broke his leg in the first quarter of a game. He finished that game with the best numbers of his career.Yeah, before that game coach Reid, feeling a bit fiesty and figuring McNabb would have a big day, says to his QB "Break a leg!"
Now there's a highly coachable player!

Just ask the Giants. The Beagle won that game with McNabb heaving the ball downfield for a total of abour 82 yards and HOW many opportunities did the giants have in that game?
but that's right, all the "accidents" just coincidentaly favor the eagles, right, giants fan? how about you get a jump on golfing with your racist alcoholic quarterback instead of riding all the way to the same golf course in jake delhomme's jock strap?
for the most part, teams make their own luck. deal with it.

Having the unique opportunity to be a resident fan of the Eagles and Packers, I can tell you that the only reason they sacked McNabb is that they let him stand there long enough for SEPTA to pick him up. At that, any sack was because they would only go after him if he had pursuit on all three directions. That is not how you play football. That's a spectator sport. McNabb had such little rush in that game that his recievers running routes had as many as three on the same play!
The Packers beat the Packers. The Eagles and McNabb played a minor role in their own victory.
The packers were coached worse than Buddy Ryan's fog bowl fiasco.
And oh yeah, it's tough to tackle anyone above the fourth grade with one arm and no shoulder. The tackling in the NFL has become so pathetic, particularly that of linebackers(with the possible exception of Zach Thomas) that it's just disgusting.
Good luck to the Eagles in the next round. They are going to need it and I'd like to see them in the superbowl just to see Rush get his ribbing.

"so I guess every first down from the 2nd quarter on was an anomaly?"You said it bro...
The 1st, 3rd, and 4th quarter were the norm -- struggles, broken plays, and futility.
And yet amazingly on the Beagles' last play of the tying drive, had McNabb been tackled while carelessly and cluelessly scrambling with no time out left to stop the clock, it would have ended their playoff Magical Mystery tour then and there.
It'll just take one more week for reality....

(Democrat Party? Democratic Party? Democrat Candidate? Democratic Candidate? Wassup wit dat?) hi, I'm confused.

As I said, the Packers LOST the game. Go ahead and pretend that the Eagles are better than they are if it makes you feel warm and fuzzy. Again (since you seem a might forgetful), I'm not a Packers fan. Just "callin' 'em as I see 'em". Since you're obviously an Eagles fan, good luck. I think you'll need it.
To: Libertarian4Bush
"and HOW many opportunities did the giants have in that game?"Enough to win this ugly game -- before their "special" teams gave up the desperate wing and prayer game-winning punt return to the Beagles.
To: PBRSTREETGANG
The Eagle's season kind of reminded me of the Bears 13-3 season of a couple years ago. Let's face it, the Super Bowl this year is Indianapolis vs. New England.
