Five days after the Packers bowed out of the playoffs in frustrating fashion, Ed Donatell was fired as the team's defensive coordinator. Tight ends coach Jeff Jagodzinski was also let go. Story to come

A few Andre Waters type safety blitzes from a guy who knows how to hit would have knocked McNabb into a fetal posed, trembling scaredy-girl. Instead, they treated McNabb to "observe but don't touch status".They sacked him, what, eight times? Nine times? Don't touch, indeed.
You can't knock McNabb into anything but a grin. He's the toughest, strongest QB in the NFL, bar none.
Last year he broke his leg in the first quarter of a game. He finished that game with the best numbers of his career.

the packers lost to a better team, why can no one deal with this?Because they saw the game? Just be content that Philly survived and lived to play another game. (And I'm not a Packers fan.)

"Sherman is firing the guy as an excuse for his own poor play selection."Exactly...
"They remind me of Buddy Ryan's analysis of a 'Prevent Defense'. That is it that it 'Prevents you from winning'."
Sherman's Pack refused to go for the throat on both sides of the ball. That ALWAYS costs a team victory -- whether it's football, OR a war.

whatever. I guess the eagles just got "lucky" 39 of the last 54 times they stepped on the field. THEY ARE EASILY THE BEST TEAM IN THE NFC. all of football? that's TBD.

Sherman's Pack refused to go for the throat on both sides of the ball. they went for the throat at the end of the first half. and corey simon said NOT TODAY.

All of America is rooting for the Panthers!! Anybody playing the Eagles is "America's Team."

When you look at Favre's career, it's a little hard to make a case for him being overrated.

All of America is rooting for the Panthers!!oh, yeah, that's so obvious and understandable considering how much off-the-field trouble the eagles get... er... wait... t must be all the trash they tal... no, that can't be it...
oh, RIGHT, the AP told you to hate the FANS. how silly of me, we always listen to the AP around here!

All of America is rooting for the Panthers!!"The Eagles are three hundred miles away from the end zone! They are committing suicide against the wall of the Panthers' goal line stand!!!"

the panthers stand about as much chance of winning on sunday as howard dean does of winning in november. they're coming in to play the best team in the NFC in front of the best fans in the world, AND the overrated, powder-blue pansies are TALKING TRASH! unreal!
wining pct. of teams playing at home in 3rd straight conference championship appearance: 1.000
wining pct. of home teams in conf. championship after winning and failing to cover in div. round: .960
okay, okay, so maybe their chances are a bit better than dean's... provided they don't turn the ball over 53 times.

If you say so. I was referring to last Sunday's game, which they should've lost. Count your blessings.
The Eagles may be the best in the NFC, which says more about parity than it does about the Eagles.
To: PBRSTREETGANG
I was referring to last Sunday's game, which they should've lost.based on what?
first 14 minutes: packers 14, eagles 0.
next 51 minutes: eagles 20, packers 3.
To: PBRSTREETGANG
Could've, Should've, Would've
The Packers aren't even in the playoffs if Minnesota doesn't do it usual choke routine.

"they went for the throat at the end of the first half. and corey simon said NOT TODAY."AHEM -- didn't Ahman Green trip over his or his own teammate's two left-feet?
And anyway, the Eagles were pathetic themselves -- how many ugly, lucky, undeserved games can they win in one year ?
To: blackdog
Sherman's comments at his news conference blamed everybody but himself. When he didn't go for the 4th and 1 he showed that he lacks the ability to coach a team and make the decisions to be a winner.
He should be gone. But that's the trouble when the coach is also the general manager.

Andre Waters
*bows*
It's good to see Brian Dawkins wearing that number. He does Andre's memory proud.
Outside of maybe Ronnie Lott, Waters was the hardest hitter I've ever seen in the game.
Watch dudes get alligator arms when they hear Dawkins coming. Just like it used to be with Waters.

Hopefull at least two more. ;-)

Winning pct. of McNabb in NFC title games - .000;
Pct. of Philly fans put in holding cell every game - .250
Pct. of Philly fans who would vote for Dean instead of Bush - .750
Pct. of team meal eaten by Andy Reid - .500
Pct. of Philly sportswriters who mock the opposing team's city before every game - 1.000
Chances of riot in Filthadelphia if Eagles lose/win - 1.000
