I thought it was funny that Jerri doesn't even seem to realize she's slipped back into bitch mode.
Everyone on Mogo Mogo hates one another. Not a good state of mind to be in, I'm afraid. This tribe is going down.
Rob slipping and then losing the club in the water? Classic.

I thought it was funny that Jerri doesn't even seem to realize she's slipped back into bitch mode. I thought I'd die laughing when she described herself! I can't stand Jerri, but I was sick of Colby too. Why on earth did they give him the heads up at tribal council? I was hoping for utter and complete shock.
Have to confess, Boston Rob has become my favorite.

Ooops, guess it was Colby. I'm not sorry. Nice reward/immunity challenge. They must've combined them so they could show lots of footage on the yacht, maybe it was part of the deal with the leasing company. Happy to see Rupert get a nice reward. Kathy is the only one on MogoMogo that I like, I just knew they would pick her to go along.
She is smart and I think would form an alliance with them in a minute. I think Rob needs to watch his back now that Colby is gone. He has a nice target on his back now. Rupert should work now to get rid of Rob. I do like Rob more this time around and he has played a good game, especially in the challenges. But after the merge I think he is toast. See you all next week!

Got to admit, Boston Rob is growing on me. He still grates, and is terribly annoying, but he's playing a smart game. So, yeah, I think he'll be the next to go.
He's been getting a ton of screen time, and the previews show he and Amber getting it on, so I suspect ironic foreshadowing. He's toast.

Boo hoo! I missed the show yesterday and didn't get it recorded either. You guys have done some great summaries in the past few weeks. If anyone is up to doing that in the absence of Cuz's wrap ups, it would be much appreciated.

From the previews of next week's show, seems he's "growing" on Amber also...
Just wondering what others think of the folowing..for me, though I still watch the show, I think it's past its prime...is the greatly reduced interest her on this thread indicative..

The show has definitely past its prime, but remains interesting. I think the idea of "all stars" is somewhat counter-productive. Part of the appeal of Survivor is getting to know the various characters and seeing how they interact. Since we already are familiar with the characters in this season, it seems like there is the element of revelation missing.

Wow thanks for the reminder. I would have totally forgot (although I am still fuming that Colby got the boot).

Thank you, So Cal Rocket for sending out the ping.
The best show recap I've ever found is on
Television Without Pity. Yes, it is very biased, with loads of editorializing, but it gives you virtually a minute by minute reprise of the entire show.
For those who didn't get a chance to watch the show, a mpeg of the program is posted on alt.binaries.multimedia.reality-tv. You can pick up
XNews, a free newsgroup reader, and download it. With Nero Burning Rom, you can turn it into a VCD which will work in 90% of the DVD players on the market. Other seasons are being posted on there in AVI format, which you'll usually only be able to watch on your computer. In either case, you'll need WinRAR to open up the archive that you download. Most ISPs include access to their newsgroup reader, refer to their instructions as to how to set up XNews.
For those who end up with a newsgroup server that doesn't carry this group, or one that has low retention, I recommend
usenetserver.com. For around fifteen dollars a month, you have unlimited download privileges up to 2.5mbps, which maxes out everything but high speed cablemodems.
Also, season 1 of Survivor - Borneo, will soon be available in stores on DVD. If you like Survivor, and want to see your favorite season put on DVD, this is a must buy. If this release fails, we likely won't see any future seasons on DVD. Besides, we didn't see enough Rudy, in my opinion, this season, and I like the guy, but not in a homosexual way, if you know what I mean.
In addition, if you've not already done so, the
SeeBS website has free Survivor Insider videos, giving you a look at the challenges and background video that isn't shown on television, as well as repeats of the voting and last words. Previous years has had this only available to RealPlayer Goldpass members, it's nice to see this free. And besides, might as well make CBS pay something by using their bandwidth. Early Show interviews are on
SeeBS's News website, a great place to catch the morning after interviews that we all usually miss because we're on the way to work. (The Early Show interviews are also posted on alt.binaries.multimedia.reality-tv, and the combination of the show and the interview fits nicely onto a single VCD.)
Thoughts on the last episode: It is curious that Mogo Mogo chose to pick Ethan so that they would be able to vote him off, then turn around and keep him there. Perhaps he finally found someone to buy his 'Keep a winner with you till the end; the jury will never vote for a millionaire' theory. Booting Colby seemed to be a poor move in general, especially for the under the radar runners. Colby's history of keeping those players around for as long as possible seems much better than Lex's history of booting them at the first opportunity.
Keeping Ethan makes some sense since he really stinks at the challenges, but Lex aced so much of Africa; my own choice, based on past history, would have been to boot Lex and keep Colby. Ahh well, at least the Early Show women got their look at Colby.
I really liked the combination reward/immunity, and I'm curious to see how Burnett can top it; previous seasons have indicated that the players will rebel if offered a cruddy reward, not to mention that there is absolutely no shame in walking now since two players have done it already this season.

Hi Amore
I saw your note "I'm tired of being told on FR that my personal opinion on something me a rotten, evil person. Boy there's a lot of intolerance on this site . . . ." and went back and read up on it. As it turns out, I grew up the same way, not doing anything dangerously stupid. To many people, especially libs, but a few pubs too, project their own experiences on others by assuming that since everyone they knew was stupid that everyone was stupid.
Don't let the bastards get you down. Chin up face them head on, hell you're on the Internet, let 'er fly.

Jerri is either a liar or stupid. She boasted that she had archery experience, yet in EVERY attempt she nocked the arrow wrong. She had the third tail feather toward the string each time, and as a result, it kicked out every time.
what an idiot.
