My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Now Fragile Heart
Now fragile heart
bruised and splintered
in tiny fragments...
My love once feared discovery
can bitterness hope for a purpose?
Was desire the plan
or an ocean within us
and soft as a sand pearl?

can bitterness hope for a purpose? Wonderful, my friend. How come most of what you write smacks me between the eyes?

Midnight blue
was that you
did our dance end well
shall we take a chance on love again
or shall we let it rest
and cool for another age
and in different colors we
will dance our dance
When the stars have burned out
and new planets sing
or shall we take wing and fly
just the two us, you and I
My Midnight blue??

Such a lovely hue
This midnight blue
Our dance ended very well
Yet my head still says, "No,
Please, don't suffer so,
Love, for you, has been hell."
But my heart knows the truth
That, though love is uncouth
The thrill of the dance is sublime
"Look into her eyes,
And you must realize,
Romance is the goal of your rhyme."
Stars grow cold
Planets spin into darkness
But it matters not
For she knows what I need
Is to simply feel needed
So, yes, I will join you
My midnight blue!

*What do I have?
i was adrift
on your sea
i remember you
wanting to glide the surf
like a seagull
lost in the details of involvement
while I was looking
for your anchorage
ignoring on lookers
in their casual walk
all to familiar with the
residue of an audience
and of tides withdrawn
in secret coves
with sweet grass
forming a perfect blind
*What do I have?

Ah, the sea!
So wonderfully blue
So deep, and mysterious
And even ... wet
Your eyes match the shade
Of deepest midnight blue
And as they meet mine
The waves, the swells rise
As your emotions
Pound at me like the surf
Pulling me slowly, slowly
Toward you, as an undertow
A secret cove
sweet grass
You are right
The blind is perfect
And there is no better place
To explore the rising tide

Ah, the sea!
So wonderfully blue
So deep, and mysterious
Those eyes of blue
cut from a glacier
old and cold
and melting
its lonely way to you
through ancient seas
and misty shoals
darkened caves
and hidden coves
inch by inch it creeps
toward me and the
freeness of the open sea
On a sea of love are we
floating on the kelp and weed
waters warm and comforting
a midnight blues rewarding...
Touche Colonel...:-)

old and cold
and melting
its lonely way to you
Cold to the touch
Warm to the heart
It moves slowly
But surely
And ever so steadily
It seeks the warmth
Knowing part of it will die
But hoping that the greater gain
Will help it live anew
My body dies but my heart
lives on
It loves whom it will
And the one I choose
Wears midnight blue

What a wonderful song that is :)
But I must get some sleep, with thanks for another fine dance. I have a big meeting early tomorrow and I'm turning into a pumpkin. Shall we dance again? It does my heart good!

Oh yes, Colonel we will dance again. I'm glad you liked the song. I love her music.
Sleep well and be well.
A broken heart will heal. :-)
G'nite my friend.
