We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Reuters is reporting that Saddam is singing like a canary and giving the U.S. information on hidden weapons and the names of people who may have as much as $40 billion.

This latest level of code orange is quite serious.
They must know something really big.
The local NYC news reported tonite that there will be delays at all bridges and toll booths now because of additional vehicle monitoring/searches.
This is in addition to the armed marshalls on international flights to/over US.

Good news concerning my mil. She works herself up sometimes to a frazzle when she does her daily blood work. I told her that the doctor suggested many years ago to forget it if it was going to make her nervous. Finally, after years of my suggesting, today she ws told by her doctor blood work testing was not needed. Yippee!!

Thank you lysie. What beautiful crias.
All I've done today is the laundry....loads and loads. Our company is gone so I can do some catch-up. I didn't know we had so MANY dirty things. I was wondering where my dish towels had gone.
Roomey and Beanie are out running around the golf course.
I played golf with one of our boys yesterday. It was so much fun. He kept saying "Grammy, you play a good game". He has such a natural swing, no effort, and his tee shots and fairway shots are good, up close to the green, he is a little powerful, so "we're" going to practise a bit. I love playing with my boys. When boy #2 ties into a tee shot, it goes a mile, boy #1, ties into a tee shot, it goes almost a mile. When I tie into a tee shot, it goes. When Roomey plays with us, we watch and learn. He's a very good golfer. Boy 1 is trying to pitch over the trees, like Roomey does, Boy 2 and I just hit under the trees. We do have a good time together. After a game, we'll get a hamburger or pop up a bunch of popcorn and sit around talking about our game and how great we were on such and such a hole. We never discuss the bad shots, cause then we'll have to talk about how we should have done it. Life is good.

Funny you bring that up....that discussion came up today while Mom was choking on her lunch.
After she pulled out her ventilator thingy, I told her she should still be using it. She swears the Dr. told her she didn't need it anymore, so I didn't bother arguing with her about it.
Then later she went into it about her blood testing and how she doesn't do it because her fingers get too cold....she got her latest supply from Liberty Medical and they require her to submit her daily test results to them or they stop providing her the supplies.

The Vet sent something in the mail today....Mom and I were cracking up laughing after reading it:
Dear Anita XXXXXX,
Recently, we sent a reminder card to Daisy and we are concerned that she has become nervous about a visit to the Vet and has hidden the card from you! Please tell Saidy that our only conern is her continued good health. She is now due for the following: Annual Exam.

I have a feeling your Mom's blood work fluctuates more than my mil. For about three years she has been doing it each day and it is well within the approved range.
Lately, she has been having trouble with it...drawing blood, etc.
Personally, I think there is much more to it....#2 son...Read between those lines...
If Liberty Mutual expects a reading...Mom should do it. *sigh*

These are stepped up security precautions and I think indicates the "chatter" we're hearing is being taken quite seriously.
Godspeed to all our NYC freepers.

She should.
Her attitude lately is she knows she is getting Alzheimers (I told her if she really was getting it, she WOULDN'T know it)...feeble minded, her time is coming, or the shouts out to the Lord to take her.
I try to subtly point out to her there are plenty folks far worse off than she is and she should be grateful for what she has.

Hi Peach.
Part of it is expected for the New Year's Eve festivities, but I think we had one NYE at code Orange and things were this tight.
