My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Eeeks!
I'm bouncing about the threads at reduced speed due to shopping trauma.
Where can I get that kind of energy?

Your coffee and too much sugar!!

LOL! Believe me, after shopping last evening, I have little energy myself. LOL! I'm just told myself I had to "play like" I do.
I think this poor 'puter is fatigued too. It's moving like a snail tonight. grrrrrr!

I gotta fade out for a while. Will be back around 9:15pm.
To: bentfeather
Doesn't effect me like that!
I'm immune to it now!

Okers.
My machine is making an odd buzzing noise.
It's plastic front cover has a loose piece on the 'optional' floppy drive holes.
So it's serenading me with noise.

I thought at first that FR was just busy and that's what was making load time so sluggish, but it's all the sites I've been to.
Don't know if it's the 'puter or ISP.
At least it works! That's a plus anyway. :-)

Might be the machine has stuff open that it doesn't need.
Win98 was famous for that.
WinXP is famous for glomming onto memory it doesn't need.

There ya go, talking technical on me! I'm a 'puter dummy. LOL!!
I've heard about memory slowing things down but need to dig into my " 'puter bible" (WindowsXP For Dummies) and see if I can find out how to take care of the mess. Sooooooo much to learn. *sigh*

I'm slowly learning to hate XP for it's "miraculous slow downs" and quirky messages about the memory pagefile needing to be goofed with while messing with my sketches under Panitshop.

Hmmmm, we suffer from the slow downs with this thing but haven't gotten any messages about the memory pagefile needing to be goofed with. Yet.
One more thing to look forward to. Juuuuust what we need. LOL!!

XP seems to allocate memory for things in an odd fashion.
But the pagefile message only happened when I was using Paintshop Pro 8.
When I mess with my sketches and scan them, the original scan has to be at least 800 pixels per inch.
1600 at tops for good quality.
After that I can resize it down to 480x300 or less and make it 'postable' online.
The size of the initial file is in the range of 100Mb or so.
Onc I'm done, it's usually nibbled down to about 37kb.

We don't have Paintshop Pro 8. We just have Paint. Guess that's a good thing? LOL!
I resize images with Dell Image Expert - Premium Edition and don't seem to have any problems when using it. Whew! I don't need any more problems than I run across already. I get lost too easily. hehehe!

*chuckle*
I mess with Jasc Paintshop mainly, hate MSpaint, and have gotten my share of odd messages.
Like: There is information stored in the clipboard utility. Would you like to keep it and make it available for other applications to use?
Now, no other application is going to use any data from me messing with a sketch so the answer is no and always no.
Unfortunately, there is no provision to tell that message to "Get Outta My Face".

I only use Paint to transfer my dolls from the dollmaker site I use to the hard drive. It's the only way that'll work and fortunately, it's simple enough.
I enjoy Image Expert and am still learning new tricks with it. One day, I'm gonna get brave and attempt a slide show. eeeek!
For now, I'm content with getting images in with the scanner or from the floppies we use in the camera. Or from My Pictures, when I find something cool on the 'net that I want to save. Remember "Anti-Claus"? LOL!!

*giggle* You'd mentioned it and I just snagged the image to add the text.
One day I may get brave and get a program to enable me to do more with graphics, like really dress up existing things or create my own. I have a biiiiiiiit more to learn before I attempt something like that. LOL!
Got a hawngree feller sitting close by hinting that he'd like some supper. Better take care of that little detail. He's close enough to be able to grab my braid and slide me outta the chair. hehe! Catch ya later. :-)
