Kitty Caption XXXII – Interrogation Techniques – (Humor/Meow Alerts)
15 December 2003 | PetroniDE

Posted on 12/15/2003 2:21:38 AM PST by PetroniDE

I have some explaining to do people. There was no kitty thread last week. I was sick with the flu most of last week so decided to give the kitty thread the week off. Sorry about the mix-up last week.

The big news over the weekend was obvious. Saddam Hussein has been captured. Time to rejoice and celebrate for the moment. While there are other facets of the war on terror yet to complete (location of WMD and OBL among them) the capture of Saddam represents a big milestone victory for the “coalition of the willing”.

Regarding the interrogation of Saddam Hussein, our cats have a few ideas.

Mr. Spock’s Vulcan Neck Grip Technique

Talk Saddam, or we put your “manhood” in a “lock box”

Remember Noriega? We’ll play Barry Manilow songs until you start talking

Finally, we’ll make your wear funny outfits and put you on television

A friend sent me a picture that I want to post here, the only trouble is that it's in on a note pad and the only way that I can open is in quick view. Is there anyway to change it to a jpg so I can - nevermind, I'm emailing it to you.

Here you go:

What happens when you have:
1) nothing to do
2) a sharp knife
3) a large lime
4) a patient cat
5) too much tequila
6) and it's football season

Thank you Abner. I got that this weekend and laughed so hard. That poor cat, the look on it's face it priceless! I've tried ever since I got it to convert it so that I could get it posted. Just finally gave up!

Thanks Abner!

Is this what you do when you are listening to 49,000 football, basketball, baseball, hockey and soccer games on Saturdays and Sundays? That is, between FReepers Hangout, FR and everything else?

The man is a multi-tasker extrodinary!

Where did you find those kitty hats? I think I'm going to Petco and find some reindeer horns for my Siamese...she won't ever come near me again.

Here's another kitty impersonation of SoDammed surrendering to the troops. :-)

I promise to torture them both with getting them fixed and all shots, otherwise, cats rule the roost and get lots of love.

Glad to hear you're a responsible kitty "slave". Many folks around here aren't and a lot of their unwanted kitties seem to find their way to our doorstep. This isn't even half of our "herd". LOL!

I wouldn't wish this on anyone....and I wouldn't part with any of these whacky critters. Yeah, I'm told I'm "certifiable". ROTFLOL!

You might want to consider going to a shelter once you reach Texas. You could save the lives of a couple of kitties whose only "crime" was being unwanted, unloved.

Are these critters spoiled? Only slightly. LOL!

One cat can rule my house!

Cats have it down pat, that's for sure! These critters keep me hopping, jumping at their beck and call. LOL!
I'm glad I'm married to a man who loves cats as much as I do. Otherwise a lot of these girls and boys would have been sent on their way and who knows what would have happened to them? I shudder at the thought.

Holy cow!! How many feline-Americans do you have????

I waited until my hubby was deployed to ask him for another cat (currently have one) and he asked that I wait until we moved back to the states (Feb)and I could have all the cats I wanted. I agreed.

Boy was that ever his big mistake!! First thing I did was promise our kids (2) that they could have 'their own' kitties. Im the kind that sees that person out in front of WalMart with a box full of them and brings them all home.

If I cant find a Freeper to adopt from I will certainly go to the closest shelter and adopt several of them. I have a soft spot for shelter cats so theres no telling how many of them I will come home with.

Im a firm believer in fixing my critters and letting them have the general run of the house. My basic rules are no kitties on counter when Im cooking and no kitties on the table when we are eating. They are welcome to sleep wherever they want, come and go (inside/outside) as they please, and attack the dog whenever they feel its necessary. As a matter of principle I dont really condone attacking the dog but a sleeping dog is a great place for a favorite cat toy.

Holy cow!!

ROTFLOL!! I get that reaction a lot.
We have 40 of the fuzzy critters ordering me around. My hubby loves them but I'm the one who has all the dealings ..... the morning "feeding frenzy", trips to the vet, scooping the poop boxes, all that fun stuff. He just loves on 'em.

They pretty much have run of the house. They aren't allowed on the kitchen table or counter when we're eating or cooking but otherwise, there's NO way to keep them off unless we sit there 24 hours a day. hehehe!
The cats who get to go outside use one of those windows above the sink as their "door". That's why they were all piled up in that pic....waiting to go out. That's the sight I wake up to every day. LOL!

All have been fixed and those who go outside have their shots. Newcomers are quarantined until they have their FLV test. If it's negative, they get the shot and come home. If positive, they're put to sleep and brought back to be buried in our Pet Sematary. Fortunately, that's only happened twice. As rampant as that disease is, it could have been a lot worse.

Time for me to scoot a few kitties out of the way on the bed and get some sleep. I've been up all night trying to catch up on things at FR and it's waaaaaaay past bedtime. I'll be back later on. :-)

Holy Cow x 40!!!

How many poop boxes do you have and how long does it take you to scoop all of them?

What do your annual vet bills look like?

I cant even begin to imagine having 40 cats. Do they all have names and can you remember all of them?

Wow, and I thought I was a cat freak thinking about having 4 or so of them. I am a mere amature!

LOL!! Having so many critters tends to pop some eyes open.
They can be a handful at times, no doubt.
How many poop boxes? Two humongous ones and two standard size. I scoop several times a day, as needed. It's not as often during the summer, when the outside litties stay out all the time. In the winter, they spend more time inside.

I don't eeeeeeven want to think how much we spend at the vet. I've never totalled it up. LOL!! He eats well, let's say. hehe! But he's good about giving me breaks so I have no complaints. Most important to me is that the "kids" adore him.

Yes, they all have names....and they all know their own names PLUS each others'. LOL!!
Of course I can remember the names.....it might take a minute or few to do it sometimes. LOL!! Are ya ready?

Kele, Tinuviel, Schatzie, Sibyl, Mephistopheles, Hollian, Zachary, Lace, Osbourne, Chambers, Tasmin, Ferdinand, Chelsea, Guenwhyvar, Damien, Moreta, Sapphire, Tarbaby, Spanky, Alfalfa, Buckwheat, Stymie, Darla, Wheezer, Marmalade, Churchill, Cotton Mather, Gomez, Morticia, Ophelia, Lilith, Jool, Cleo, Arwen, Morgan, Toby, Celeborn, Thorn, Lestat, and we haven't named the newest addition yet. He just showed up recently and is still a bit wild.

I have a bird, too, named Radu. LOL!

Good Lord a bird too! I bet it gets lots of kitty attention.

My beloved feline, Norman (female) was sort of a rescue project. She was supposed to go to live with my step-daughters family. I had witnessed in the past how kitties were manhandled in their home so when I found out they were going to get her I intervened. She is a self-proclaimed inside cat and is very sensitive to change. Im hoping and praying this upcoming move doesnt stress her to the point of death. Its going to go something like this: Car ride, hotel, car ride, plane ride, car ride, strange house, car ride, strange house, car ride, hotel, car ride, new (strange) house. The whole process is going to take 2 to 3 weeks. One of those car rides is 8 hours and another is 15 hours.

She has moved fairly well in the past but she is getting up there in years and this will be by far the most 'active' move.

I've had people in the past get upset with me for not letting them have one of my cats. Upset because I wouldn't do it for the simple reason they had small children. Seen too many nightmarish things happen to kitties at the hands of lil "heatherns" while their parents turned a blind eye and wasn't about to let any of my babies suffer that fate!! I just told the folks "Sorry. That's the way it is. Small kids, no kitties from me." Now I simply don't give ANY of them away.....which is why I'm overwhelmed. LOL!!

Your cat should be ok during the move. Cats are very territorial and that's why they don't like moving. "Where are my smells?", "Where's my favorite spot?", "Where's Mommy's and Daddy's smells?"
Have something she's been sleeping on handy for her to sleep on at each stopover, have some of her toys, her food dishes, etc. and that will help a little. Familiar items with "home smells" ease the stress of moving. And give her lots of attention. I've moved some of the cats I have presently several times (the oldest at the time of the last move was 16 yrs. old) and doing those things seemed to help them adjust a bit better. She won't really calm down til you're settled into your new home for a couple of weeks. By then, she should have her new favorite spots picked out and all your smells will be in place.

As for my lil bird, his cage hangs from hooks in the ceiling, keeping him well out of harm's way. LOL!! I take the cage back to the bedroom and lock all the cats out in order to get him out to play with him. So far, so good. I've had my lil feathered friend for 6 1/2 years. But yep, he gets eyeballed quite a bit. hehe!

Good luck with your move. And doggone it, I've forgotten before but not this time.....please tell your hubby I said "Thank you for serving our country."
