Holy cow!! How many feline-Americans do you have????

I waited until my hubby was deployed to ask him for another cat (currently have one) and he asked that I wait until we moved back to the states (Feb)and I could have all the cats I wanted. I agreed.

Boy was that ever his big mistake!! First thing I did was promise our kids (2) that they could have 'their own' kitties. Im the kind that sees that person out in front of WalMart with a box full of them and brings them all home.

If I cant find a Freeper to adopt from I will certainly go to the closest shelter and adopt several of them. I have a soft spot for shelter cats so theres no telling how many of them I will come home with.

Im a firm believer in fixing my critters and letting them have the general run of the house. My basic rules are no kitties on counter when Im cooking and no kitties on the table when we are eating. They are welcome to sleep wherever they want, come and go (inside/outside) as they please, and attack the dog whenever they feel its necessary. As a matter of principle I dont really condone attacking the dog but a sleeping dog is a great place for a favorite cat toy.

Holy cow!!

ROTFLOL!! I get that reaction a lot.
We have 40 of the fuzzy critters ordering me around. My hubby loves them but I'm the one who has all the dealings ..... the morning "feeding frenzy", trips to the vet, scooping the poop boxes, all that fun stuff. He just loves on 'em.

They pretty much have run of the house. They aren't allowed on the kitchen table or counter when we're eating or cooking but otherwise, there's NO way to keep them off unless we sit there 24 hours a day. hehehe!
The cats who get to go outside use one of those windows above the sink as their "door". That's why they were all piled up in that pic....waiting to go out. That's the sight I wake up to every day. LOL!

All have been fixed and those who go outside have their shots. Newcomers are quarantined until they have their FLV test. If it's negative, they get the shot and come home. If positive, they're put to sleep and brought back to be buried in our Pet Sematary. Fortunately, that's only happened twice. As rampant as that disease is, it could have been a lot worse.

Time for me to scoot a few kitties out of the way on the bed and get some sleep. I've been up all night trying to catch up on things at FR and it's waaaaaaay past bedtime. I'll be back later on. :-)
