We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Sad, but true, the United States Supreme Court upheld the Campaign Finance Act of 2001 (somehow, it seems, raising money falls under the "conduct of elections" that is under the auspices of Congress). Regarding the 2004 race, Republicans have been taking a lot of time building up their coffers early, so analysts believe for this race, the fund-raising aspects of the law will likely not hurt the GOP. That said, the speech limitation aspects give the Criminal Party a huge advantage going into the last two months of the campaign as the only non-muzzled element, or so it seems, is the media. And polling data shows about 90% of the members of that "esteemed" organization are members or relate to the Criminal Party...
Over 4,000 people took to the streets in Baghdad in a grass-roots demonstration against terrorism.
President Bush's advisors begin focusing on a race next year against Howard Dean.
The United States has stated that priority in Iraqi contracts will go to firms that belong to countries that aided the war effort. The European Union is steamed. The latter says it will protest, if the United States actually goes through with what it says, to the World Trade Court.
Finally, in an article carried by the AP, it turns out that human beings have not been responsible for global warming in the 20th and 21st centuries. Or, at least, it is not limited to that. No, our global crime, it turns out, is far more serious than that. A professor emeritus at the University of Virginia, wrote an article that will appear in December's Climatic Change, that claims humans have been responsible for global warming since the dawn of agriculture some 8,000 years ago. The moment we began clearing forests to plant crops, claims the professor, humans began altering the environment and caused carbon dioxide levels to increase. The professor did not explain, however, how there would come to be forests in Iraq, the birthplace of agriculture, which does not carry enough water for large stands of trees. Maybe, one might guess, he presumes all the trees have been cut down?

LOL. Too funny, Nita.
Heard something funny a few minutes ago...
Juan Williams referred to the "somewhat robotic AlGore"...."somewhat"?????
Jane, how are you this a.m.??
Today is S's last day of classes until a week after News Years. Boy, am I happy. No more dealing with liberal professors for awhile. Next semester will be relatively easy and much more fun because she just needs her electives.
One of her classes will be piano.
:-)
I heard Juan Williams as well. Apparently a lot of the Rats are mad at Gore and are also trying to stop Dean.
Those Dean voters are like cultists. They aren't going to support any other candidate. They will stay home or follow Dean to the Greens.
Robert L. Bartley WSJ editorial
Hillary Aides in Dean-bashing blitz F & F were talking about this awhile ago.

Back later. Today, til late afternoon, I'll be home more.
Jane, glad you're okay. Any news on those poor people's condition?
Have a happy birthday!
The driver of the car was found last night....a teen age girl who told her mother she "thought she had hit something." The mother called police.
"Thought" she had hit something? A large sign and two people! Heavens!
I know when I hit a small pothole in the road....
incredible!
