I watched for a few minutes until I saw they had Starbuck as a Woman.
Too ridiculous to even watch.

I watched for a few minutes until I saw they had Starbuck as a Woman. I refuse to watch it because of this.

Uh, since the original was all about a sneak attack, treachery and betrayal by the Cylons and the human leader Baldar, I'd say that any parallels predate 9-11.

I know, I know. But the way they did it sent chills through me. The reporters on TV broadcasting right before the nuke hit the city....WOW!

I watched for a few minutes until I saw they had Starbuck as a Woman. An ASIAN woman...they must have crossed out each ethnicity as they cast this thing. Absurd this tiny Chinese chick with her huge male partner.

To: montag813
Boomer is an Asian woman. Starbuck's a blonde who spends the first 2 segments in the brig.

This was a great show in the original first season with Lorne Greene. This show looks like it needs some work. Is the cabinet secretary the same woman that played the First Lady in Independence Day?
To: montag813
starbuck as a woman I can accept. No stupid kid and robot dog == this is MUCH better than the original. I'm really liking it so far. A lot of cliche stuff but its in keeping with overall plot. Cylons are much cooler.

Since I never liked the original BSG, I am not disappointed, especially after the 1st 2 sex scenes in the 1st 15 minutes. the Ole Olmos, blaming mankind for the cylons, reminded me of the rats blaming the us for 9-11.
So cool effects but plot line is rather pathetic.
Can't believe I gave up American chopper and Monster Garage for this.
Thats right they will be on again this evening.
