F-word-filled 'South Park' film airs on TV -'Most vile movie in history'

The 1999 movie "South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut" has been aired on the "basic" cable network Comedy Central, bringing what one critic describes as "the most vile movie in history" to America's families for Thanksgiving weekend.

Coming on the heels of the Federal Communication Commission's recent ruling that U2 singer Bono's utterance of the F-word on broadcast television did not violate the agency's standards, the airing of the film, which is based on the network's "South Park" television series, was enthusiastically promoted on Comedy Central's website:

"The greatest movie of all time comes back to Comedy Central – and it's kick-a--! Uncensored and over-the-top – don't miss it!"

A representative of the FCC mentioned the Bono ruling in an interview with WorldNetDaily. Margo Davenport, a senior legal adviser for the agency, explained the difference between rules governing broadcast television and those for cable channels. While most viewers expect profanity on premium pay channels, such as Showtime and HBO, the FCC also has a hands-off policy with other "basic" cable stations, Comedy Central being one.

"The distinction is between broadcast stations and non-broadcast stations," Davenport said.

She recalled an incident a year ago when the comedy network aired an episode of "South Park" that featured a counter on the bottom of the screen that kept track of the number of times a specific profanity was uttered.

Davenport noted viewers can always get a TV with a V-chip or block specific channels to avoid vulgar cable programming.

Although the FCC used to get regular complaints about Comedy Central, according to Davenport, that's not the case now.

"Maybe nobody watches it anymore," she said.

Ironically, the "South Park" movie features one scene where the character Dr. Vosknocker demonstrates a "V-chip" that has been installed in Cartman to get him to stop swearing:

Dr. Vosknocker: Now, I want you to say "doggy." Cartman: Doggy.

Dr. Vosknocker: [to audience] Notice that nothing happens. [to Cartman] Now, say "Montana."

Cartman: Montana.

Dr. Vosknocker: Good. Now, "pillow."

Cartman: Pillow.

Dr. Vosknocker: All right. Now I want you to say "horse f-----."

Mrs. Cartman: Go on, honey. It's all right.

Cartman: Horse fu– [gets shocked by the V-chip] That hurts, g-- d--- it! [gets shocked again]

Dr. Vosknocker: Now I want you to say [expletive.]

Cartman: No!

Dr. Vosknocker: [to audience] Success! The child doesn't want to swear!

Cartman: This isn't fair, you sons of bi– [gets shocked repeatedly].

During the scene, which, like the entire film, is animated, placards with the vulgar words are held up for the viewers to see.

Christian film reviewer Ted Baehr calls the film "the most vile movie in history." His review of the film points out the extreme number of profanities included in the dialogue, saying it is "anti-Christian, anti-God, anti-morality, intentionally immoral, with the most vile content in the history of mainstream moviemaking; 340 counted obscenities (there may be more that are muddled), 14 profanities and many disgusting bodily functions. …"

Baehr says "mocking bigotry" is the hallmark of the film: "Canadians are vilified; Jews are belittled; God is also mocked and called a wimp, a faggot and worse; and, to top it off, African-Americans are called darkies and are used by the U.S. Army to shield the white troops, accompanied by dialogue telling everyone that this horrendous act is the Army's intent."

Concluded Baehr, "The future of our society looks very dim after thinking what those children [who see the film] will do and how they will behave after this powerful entertainment virus corrupts their hearts and minds."

As WorldNetDaily reported, the creators of the "South Park" series are the same people who developed a new show that was to debut in 2001 entitled, "That's My Bush," which would have included President George W. Bush's twin daughters Barbara and Jenna, being portrayed as a pair of "very hot and sexy" incestuous lesbians.

Though last weekend's airing of the "South Park" movie occurred late in the evening, the show itself is played at various times throughout the world.

"What's funny is where I am from [Quebec, Canada], 'South Park' has been translated into French and is on TV at 4 p.m. when kids get home from school," an Internet developer told WorldNetDaily. "My nephews were watching it."

Comedy Central representatives failed to respond to several requests for comment.

I am a Christian.

A born-again, Bible-Thumping One.

The first Rat I will vote for has yet to be born.

I stand for morality, truth and Justice.

I think that the South Park Movie is brilliantly funny.

Ted Baehr is an(switch to un-Christian mode here) IDIOT.

P.S. When I was younger, Monty Python's "Life of Bryan" came out. And was picketed by the ted-Baehr-types who NEVER SAW THE MOVIE. Jesus was depicted reverently in the only scene where he appears (Sermon on the Mount, at the movie's start).

The rest of the movie was a BRILLIANT slapstick about a man WHO WAS MISTAKEN for the Messiah.

Satire and commentary on everything from feminism (lampooned) to cultism that was wickedly funny. (Always look on the bright side of life!!!)

God help this guy if he ever sees 15 minutes of Blazing Saddles.

"The Sheriff's a Ni-CLANG!" "What did he say? He said the Sheriffs coming."

Coolness! Were you gladly going to kick a butt or two...? :)

It was one of the most bizarre video's that I have ever been a part of. I was thankful that they cut me out of it only because in the shot that was almost used, I was in between two gorgeous babes as they cooed in my ear and hung on my arm. All the while I was imagining my wife seeing this on TV along with all my neighbors...

Now, if I had been a single man at the time, it would have been glorious hehehehe

"Kyle's Mom is a Big Fat B----" in several different languages - can't be topped!

It does seem a little troubling to be able to watch this movie, uncensored, on a basic cable t.v. station. Little subversive.

And, in the event not already stated above, Stone and Parker are NOT Republicans. One of them is very libertarian while the other is more left-of-center. They appear to go after liberals more because they're easier targets.

My favorite episode is Satan and Saddam and Chris as a gay love triangle in Hell
Every time I think of the cartoon character of Saddam holding a martini and leering at Satan I start laughing

The only movie scene rivalling the first part of the South park movie for sheer hillarity is the scene of the lisping Pontius Pilate (Michael Palin) in Life of Brian trying to find out by questioning his centurions (who are trying to keep from bursting out laughing) "What's so funny about Biggus Dickus? BIGGUS... DICKUS..." (while the soldier's face is contorting from the PAIN of suppresing laughter).Rent it. You won't be sorry. Another classic scene: Bryan: (to long-haird and berded man hanging on the wall of dungeon cell) "What will they do to me?" Man: "Oh, you'll probably get away with crucifixion." Bryan: "CRuCIFIXION? GET AWAY WITH CRUCIFIXION?!?!?! ITS.." Man: "Best thing the Romans ever done for us!!!" BRYAN: "WHAT?" Man: "Oh YEAH! If we didn't have crucifixion, THIS COUNTRY'D BE IN A RIGHT BLOODY MESS!!" Bryan: "Guard!!" Man: "Nail him up I say!" Bryan: "Guard!!!!" Man: "NAIL SOME SENSE INTO HIM!!" Guard: "What do you want?" Bryan: "I want you to move me to another cell." Guard: "HAH!" (SPITS into Bryan's face through the bars). Man: "Oh! Look at that! BLOODY FAVORITISM!!" Guard: "Shut up you!" Man: "Right." I might have missed a few lines, but twenty years later I can still recall it. Kinda like that catchy tune listed above, "Uncle F----" ;0) Right, Perfesser?

WND really sounds like a 70-year old virgin here. Puh-leeze...I laughed my ass off at this stupid film, and watched it on Comedy Central the other night too. Great move, great satire as well. WND is a stick-in-the-mud.

I have to disagree. It just wasn't that good. I was a South Park fan before the movie, but after? Well it seemed the shows went downhill. They just weren't funny. However I have been watching a few here and there this year and some have gotten back to pre-movie quality. The one about Joseph Smith was absolutely hilarious

watched the episode with Mr. Slave and the gerbil ("Winkydinks?) with my eyes peeking out between splayed fingers like I do at scary movies, thinking, "I can't believe what I'm seeing!"

Yeah, me too. That one hurt me bad. (It was "Lemmiwinks," BTW, now, of course, the Gerbil King as a result of his successful odyssey through Mr. Slave's alimentary tract.)

That one was actually the "Tolerance Camp" episode, which packed more satire into 30 minutes than most shows do in a season. Vhen ze Tolerance Nazi made zem do multicultural fingerpainting until zey dropped I nearly did too. And when Mister Garrison was foiled at his attempt to get himself fired for being gay and told the crowd that tolerance wasn't approval, it was putting up with something "like a bad cold or a screaming baby on an airplane," he gets sent to Tolerance Camp himself...by the time the credits rolled I still couldn't believe what I was watching. Brilliant stuff.
