In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
osculate \ohs*cue*late\, verb:
osculated, osculates, osculating; transitive, intransitive verb
osculation; noun
deosculate, deosculation; (fondly)
exosculate, exosculation; (vigorously)
1. To kiss..
2. Mathematics: To have three or more points coincident with.
3. To come together; contact.
A Plain Old Kiss
Some people need a peck or two;
For others a simple smooch will do;
Too many, a graze will stimulate;
A few may want to osculate.
And then, there are those who need a smack,
For flowery words they have a knack.
But all I want from you is bliss,
Which you can give me with a plain, old kiss!
- Arr. Ara John Movsesian Etymology [Latin scul r , scul t-, from sculum, kiss, diminutive of s, mouth. See s- in Indo-European Roots.]

I *think* he also got arrested (DWI) right after his brother pardoned his drug conviction...

I think he also had an assault charge in the last two years but I am not sure. We really need to track this stuff for future use against the Mistress of Hell, Hillary! Rodham Klinton.

I blame this all on Nurse Bloomberg:
A 19-year-old man was stabbed to death in Downtown Brooklyn yesterday in a fight over cigarettes, police sources said. Cody Knox, of Grand Avenue, got into an argument with two men as he stood outside 26 Flatbush Ave. at 1:30 p.m.
It was not clear what Knox's involvement was, but police believe the fight stemmed from an illegal cigarette deal.
Two men stabbed Knox several times in the back and were seen running away when cops arrived.
Knox was taken to Brooklyn Hospital, where he died.

Interesting, but I think I'll just let mom cook this year. Unless, my car breaks down, in which case i'll spend turkey day at the bar.

I was thinking Hugh Rodham but then again, it's hard to keep all of these criminals straight. They are like the Sopranos without the honor or ethics or the good Italian cooking for that matter.

-I am 51 and loving it. I tell everyone I am a granma wanna be. I say what I think and tell them I am practicing for old age. Nothing lifts the spirits like a new phase in your life! (for Flurry his upcoming marraige) We, my husband and myself, have just entered into the empty nest stage. It's taking me awhile but my husband is dragging me along.

Sending my kids to college to live on campus made the empty nest thing more gradual and less painful.

So many of our friends are entering the empty nest stage, and here we are practically just starting out!!!
Hubby was teased unmercifully by some of his former HS classmates when I was pregnant - a bunch of them were already grandfathers!!!!

LOL! I thought it was kinda weird, but I thought I'd play along anyway. ;)
I'm definitely looking forward to meeting you (and everyone else), now that I'm clear to go to CPAC!
As for being a conservative in NYC, it's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it. Except for college, I've always lived in or just outside the city, and I've always been a conservative (thanks, Dad!), so there was never a clash or conflict between the 2. :)
