Well, you certainly didn't notice me
BEFORE I started flailing. What do I
have to do to get a break around here?!

I tried to ping you to my Good Morning post this morning but the system wouldn't recognize your screen name and I thought I had it spelled DARKCHYLDE. But it wouldn't take.
I'll try it again tomorrow.

It takes a while to get approval for the green card for Chinese, Pippin. It took Ming 30 months. Since Ying and I are married, that should help some. I expect maybe a year still, though. Citizenship takes longer than that. Years. 5-10 years, I think.

OH!
I alwaym thought that when a foriegner married an American it was automatic citizenship.
But I remember my mom, she has never even applied for citizenship
she's still technically a Canadian citizen.

I need your input. What type of wake (or visitation, as they call them here) that you attended...did you enjoy? Really.
I am asking for a reason. I've attended three visitations and three funerals in the past two months. They were the saddest affairs...all in funeral homes with plush carpeting, cushy seats, muted music and low somber conversation. Also..canned music, soloist singing off key and a preacher who talked more of salvation than the deceased. It drove me mad, I tell you.
So, I have decided to make my own arrangements for my wake and funeral. No, I am not terminally ill. But, I have decided to put my wishes in writing and leave it with my family.
So, okay, I want my wake to be a happy and loud affair. I want everyone to eat, drink coctails, smoke and sing if they wish. Most of my family members play either guitar or piano.
My funeral I have already planned. I want a violinist and a soloist who can carry a tune. I want them to play and sing "On Eagles Wings". I want everyone there to be invited to give a spontaneous eulogy. If no one wants to do so, the service is over, after everyone holds hands and says the "Lord's Prayer". Short and sweet. LOL
Any ideas?

Aren't the funerals down in New Orleans like that?
The CaJun ones?

Even the system won't recognize me!
Oh, the horror!
*blood curdling scream (I'm very good at that)*
Okay, I'm fine now.
I swear (despite what HE says) I'm not as bad as
my brother.

Oh.
Well, right now it isn't seeing much of anyone.
It may be due to time space paradox, or the time space relativator paradox.

No, the INS doesn't want to make it that easy. We had to apply for a fiancee visa to get her over here from China. That was like pulling teeth getting it approved. It took over a year. Then, once she got over here, we had to get married within 90 days. We made the arrangements right after she got here and were married in 3 weeks.
