These are numbers of a combination in 3 lockers/large crates maybe/etc. which have an explosive device of some sort in those 3 cities.

Maybe it got in through a boat in the harbor. New York, LA, and Washington DC are all near the water.

Assuming this note were real...

If this were planned all in advance they would not send out a decoded message telling of locations this late in the game. (What's so hard about "show up at Gate C-23 in Dulles?) Like 911 the attacks would most likely be coordinated, because as soon as we caught whiff of one we'd be in shutdown. (Recall that Bush, of course, grounded all flights for a while.)

This probably refers to something more personal, such as minimally acceptable weather conditions, weapons distribution, emergency plans, where to pick up equipment, and so on. Recall that Al Qaeda also waited for a good clear day to launch an attack...

In any case, it's not location of the attack, not this late in the game. Probably not an exact date either... the nature of this message tells me it's most likely a prankster.

I suspect it is a key to pull off simultaneous attacks.

Any attack on US soil must be multiple and simultaneous. That will prevent the media and gov officials from coming out five minutes later and stating that it is "an isolated incident and not terrorism".

If a US neighborhood was leveled like the one in Rihyad last night, it would most certainly be reported as a propane tank mishap.

Only if the Democrats can get some political gain out of it or stand to lose politically if they don't (or if it interferes with an abortion). And I'm not kidding.

For the general public I think you can judge the likelihood of the kid gloves coming off by asking:
1) Does it interrupt any football games
2) Does it interrupt television coverage in general
3) Does it interfere with beer deliveries
4) Does it cut off internet porn


The likelihood of kid gloves coming can be calculated by adding 25% for each of those things that occur.
