I would just like to mention that it has been reported that Osama Bin Laden first wanted to plan multiple attacks on the east and west coast of the United States on 911. I have read a few reports that have stated this plan was abandoned because of the difficulty in pulling off the hijacking of 10 planes across multiple time zones.

Not long ago I got a call from the mass communications dept. at our local university. They were doing a survey on how I would rate various sources (family, friends, cable tv, broadcast tv, radio, newspapers) as sources of information duing a local emergency (first question) and a national emergency (second question).

The whole thing seemed odd.

I read this story a while back, it's goes something like this:

There is a flood, a guy living in a house, which is flooded, as the flood rises, keeps going higher and higher, finally he has to go to the roof, that's the only place left.

He is a good Christian, so he prays to God fervently to please save him.

A boat goes by, which searches and tries to save people in distress, such as this guy. They ask him to come down and let him save him. The guy says: "I don't need your help, God will save me, I have great faith".

The boat goes away. Later another boat comes by, by now the water has risen even more. Same conversation takes place.

A little while later the water rises, now the guy has to climb onto the chimney to stay dry. He keeps praying fervently nonstop.

All of a sudden, a helicopter comes by and they let down a rope for him to climb aboard, before the water covers up his house completely and he drowns. He refuses to take the rope, he says: "I believe God will save me"

Well, eventually the water covers up his chimney and he DROWNS.

Since he has been a good Christian, he goes to Heaven.

He wants to speak with God, who agrees to talk to him.

The guy says: "God, I have been a good Christian all my life, I prayed, my faith never wavered, why didn't you save me".

God replies: "Who do you think sent the two boats and the helicopter?!"

Moral of the story is obvious: Believe, but do everything you can, God works through others, and "God helps those who help themselves"

With this War on Terror, we can't just sit back, like the guy during the flood and expect that God will save us. Praying is good, but coupled with action is better.

i think more hijacking were planned, all those stories of pilots tagging along in the cockpit jump seats on 9/11, you never heard another word about that. I think the move to ground all planes in the air immediately likely stopped additional hijackings.

Yikes! WWW.988888.Com is not just a website of North Korea. It's a web site for the Beijing Trade Company. That happens to have a map of the Korea's on there.

This could be a tie-in with China or North Korea.
