Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

If I may comment on your posting regarding the tension between your wife and you.

Women tend to handle stress with a flight response. They tend to be trained into this response by social norms (no doubt partly the reason you married her was that she did not challenge you directly). Her response is not pathologic. It's probably her normal response. She wants to interpret what's occuring through the emotion of the time rather than the unemotional rationale.

You are interpreting FR messages as directly risky to you and your family. Your response is to FIGHT. Her response is to FLIGHT. You are not assisting her by tranfering your tension and "fight response" to fighting with her.

She has already dealt with the terror created by 9-11. Her response is to flee the environment (get away from the problem).

After following this thread for months now, I am not convinced that Daleel Almojahid was capable of carrying out his threats. In particular, I believe that Daleel Almojahid was a manifestation of the actual Al Qaeda group, but that is a propaganda tool.

If their goal is the destruction of America, one methodology to destroy the nation is to destroy the family.

In order to destroy the family, the leadership role of the male must be disintegrated and replaced with another male role (which they are attempting to paint as Muslim/Islamic).

Do NOT allow them to play mind games with your family through you.

Although I am a board-certified physician and have been very concerned by terrorism's threat, personal discussion with our Congressman convinces me of the following:
1. FBI/CIA/Nat'l Security operations are capable of doing their job.
2. We inadvertently increase "chatter" when we're confabulate various scenarios (some of which are very strong attack models).
3. I can not increase productivity in our local economy if I am exhausted addressing "chatter" from the ilk of "daleel".
4. "Daleel" is no threat to me because the US Military has "daleel" in their gun sights.
5. The biggest threat to the US is lousy border control from Mexico and Canada.
6. The second biggest threat to the US is lousy port control.
7. Norm Mineta's Dept. of Transportation is doing a good job adjusting to the new demands.
8. The 101 and big red 1 do a great job at keeping the heat on our enemy and that prevents us from being direct targets.
9. Civil readiness has it's pitfalls. If you expend too much money on unnecessary "security" measures, then you have less money on needed items like fuel, clothing, and food. You need to have some fun.

So, quit worrying about AQ blowing up the city (which they've not done in 2 1/2 years) and start taking your wife out to a movie and dinner.

Re assembling the explosive in the seat... if the components are easy enough to put together, it could be done there. The bathroom is a great spot for it, but maybe not the best spot if it's being so closely watched. It depends how the person is going to get in there. What is a man's excuse for taking a satchel in with him? The only thing I could see is that a woman needs to bring her purse and a mom or dad with a baby needs a big diaper bag.

People are going to have to learn that they cannnot fool around on planes in flight any longer.

First, I'm glad to be back safe and sound. Second, you're right, if people have a problem not lingering around the lavs, they should be arrested by the FBI. This is no time to be fooling around, this is serious stuff, which you realize even more when you are actually on these planes that have specific threats.

First time I saw that. So we took them with a grain of salt and didn't consider them as a threat either. I think many see Islam that way,that there was just 19 crazy people and it won't happen again. I put nothing past them and believe they are capable of almost anything.

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply. I have been dealing with a blizzard (seriously), cows, chickens and a tractor/snow plow and decided to not run this morning. Another 1 1/2 feet of snow on the way tonight. Sometimes living out in the sticks does not have it's advantages!

"Our military and intelligence networks are assessing and monitoring new U.S. targets that we will strike in a period of time which is not long," spokesman Sulaiman bu Ghaith told the Algerian Arabic daily newspaper El Youm. ...

"Our suicide militants are ready and impatient to carry out attacks against U.S. and Jewish targets inside (America) and abroad," the spokesman added.

El Youm director told Reuters the newspaper received on Monday by e-mail taped answers to questions that had been sent Sunday to al Qaeda's Internet Web site. Bu Ghaith warned America to "fasten its seat belts" because his organization "will hit, with God's willing, from where they will not expect."

"America knows we are men of action and not men of words," he went on, saying that attacks were also being planned against the "puppet government" of Afghan President Hamid Karzai.

I’ll Bite Your Knees Off! - One can’t help but be reminded of the initially intimidating but ultimately looney Black Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Yes, Al Qaeda spokesman Sulaiman “Chicken Little” Ghaith is back to say “boo” yet again.


“The al Qaeda network will strike U.S. targets in America and around the world soon, an al Qaeda spokesman said in an interview published Tuesday.


‘Our military and intelligence networks are assessing and monitoring new U.S. targets that we will strike in a period of time which is not long,’ spokesman Sulaiman bu Ghaith told the Algerian Arabic daily newspaper El Youm.”


There’s that time thing again, “a period of time that is not long.” Let’s look at his record. As we’ll see, Sir Ghaith has a continual problem with time perception. It may have been last October when we first heard him promise new attacks: “An al Qaeda spokesman Tuesday promised more terrorist attacks against U.S. targets as he praised the men who hijacked the aircraft that destroyed the World Trade Center and damaged the Pentagon. Suleiman Abu-Gheith stopped short of claiming al Qaeda was responsible for the September 11 attacks during his speech broadcast by the Qatar-based television network al Jazeera. But he urged all Muslims to attack American targets until the United States leaves all Muslim countries and stops supporting Israel.”


He’s been at it ever since. He’s the one who boasted last October, “When al-Qaeda promises, it delivers ... The storm of aeroplanes will not be calmed.” He was the one who finally stepped forward in April to tardily admit, yeah, we did it: ”’We were able to hit the head of the infidels on his own turf,’ al-Qaeda spokesman Suleiman Abu Ghaith “


A month ago on June 2, he told us to buckle our seatbelts. On June 24, he told us to buckle them again:


“We will not desist from striking at America everywhere ... The whole world will see these are not just threats. The coming days and months will prove to the world the credibility of what we are saying. Our (would-be) martyrs are bracing to carry out these operations against US and Jewish targets.”
