Yes, I am reading about it now. Waiting for sleep to come, and reading. It's an awesome cave.

This article needs to be reviewed. The Crash of EgyptAir 990

Yes, it is long; but VERY informative and a good read.

My favorite quote in here is from the head of the NTSB, Bernard Loeb. Pulling the nose up is the most intuitive, reflexive thing you can do in an airplane. So when you start hearing arguments like that, you know people are blowing smoke." [re: tail-control failures]

Remember American Airlines 587? Didn't that get blamed for Rudder? Pulling up too hard?

I thought that Muslim women weren't permitted to travel alone. Have the rules changed?

I got this from rediff.com, during a google search. Article dated March 7,2003. I am snipping it here due to a reference to "blue eyed" recruits.

The Jamaat's complicity with Al Qaeda should be a matter of concern. Of all the Islamic political parties in Pakistan, the Jamaat has always been the most favoured by the military-intelligence establishment. Its leaders are perceived in Pakistan as the army's blue-eyed mullahs. While maintaining an overtly anti-establishment line, it has always covertly collaborated with the army and ISI. Many Pakistani army officers and nuclear scientists gravitate towards the Jamaat after retirement

There is more, but I used the search words "belly of the eagle." Turns up alot of stuff. G'dnight.

I did assume that she was Muslim, and I could very well be wrong. Statistics from several sources found by Google search of "Morocco" and "religion":

Muslim 98.7% Christian 1.1% Jewish 0.2%

I don't know of any significant wide-area tunnels in Indiana, either; however, downtown Indianapolis has a pretty good network of tunnels for service, etc.

Note the date on that article - 1972. As of last year, the length of the Mammoth Cave complex has exceeded 300 miles!

why would the same group that had nukes, be trying to blow up planes by hiding plastic explosives in the body cavity of a female suicide bomber? is just doesn't connect.

not sure about flight 587, there was time for the pilot to radio "there has been an explosion", yet it did not happen, the only radio transmission before the crash talked about the inability to control the plane.

Were the audio's ever made public? If so, I missed those articles.

I know eyewitnesses said there was an explosion; but I don't know the black box info.

I'm in the NTSB Investigative site for the Flight 587 crash now, http://www.ntsb.gov/events/2001/AA587/default.htm . I have no aviation background, so maybe I'm missing something. I can't find a transcript from the Pilot's black box audio.

All of the investigative information states the accident was rudder and vertical stabilizer failure. And my post about this 'blowing smoke' was from the head of the NTSB back in 2001 for the Egypt crash.

Did you see an article that said differently? I would love to read it.

If a flight attendant really was standing in an aisle, perhaps the identity of that person needs to be confirmed by authorities...and investigated?

Oops. Excellent point. Since when do the flight attendants stand in the aisle during take-off? Hmm...
