why would the same group that had nukes, be trying to blow up planes by hiding plastic explosives in the body cavity of a female suicide bomber? is just doesn't connect.

Because, besides a smallbox attack, a nuclear explosion is the most powerful thing that could happen. After a nuclear attack, the effect of everything else looks smaller by sheer comparison.

I think al-Qa`eda wants to up the ante while making more demands. It adds to psychological grief and allows them to make demands and such until they try.

Maybe in al-Qa`eda's sick diseased mind, they ***THINK*** they can convert us. That might explain the warnings and delays. *shrug*

Unless the story is a red herring put out to calm the sheeples (comparatively, that is - to saying they wanted to blow up the plane with a suitcase nuke)

The one thing I can't figure out is all of this "we will DESTROY XX CITY" type of hyperbole and the info we are reading in the press. I just pray that it's OUR side who's telling the truth to the public.
