A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

Seyed Ali Khamenei on Wednesday dismissed as a "shameful lie" the US
pro-democracy slogans and said public opinion in Iraq or any other
part of the world of Islam favors those who brand the US as enemy of
of Islam.


"They (Americans) are in fact against democracy because they
know that reference to public votes in Iraq or anywhere else in the
world of Islam today will prove that Muslim nations would elect those
who whole-heartedly consider Americans as enemies of Islam," said
Ayatollah Khamenei in his Eid-al-Fitr prayers sermons to multitudes of
worshipers here at Imam Khomeini Mosalla prayers ground.


The paramount leader said the US` bloody coups and crimes in
different parts of the world and Washington`s continued support for
dictatorial regimes prove real nature of the US President George W.
Bush`s claims.
Ayatollah Khamenei said that American occupiers have through such
"false" pro-democracy, freedom and human rights slogans put Iraqi
nation in a hard condition, leaving them no option other than campaign
against the occupiers.


Addressing American nation, Ayatollah Khamenei said, "You should
know that your government has through Iraq`s occupation pushed the US
into a quagmire and it further sinks into the swamp day by day."


The Supreme Leader said Iraqi people will resist the imposed
democracy or any other dictated establishment or law.


"The US government should know that it will fail to take Muslim
nations in the Middle East its captive even by raising its military
budget ten-folded because the great, struggling and noble Iranian
nation sets as a symbol for other nations, giving them lessons of
perseverance and prosperity," he added.


Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the case of Palestine and said
despite abundant economic problems and massacre and suppression of
women, children and the youth in the occupied territories, the
defenseless and brave Palestinian nation continues to resist against
the tyrant occupiers by all means under blessing of Islam.
He said ongoing realities in the occupied lands prove that the
Zionists and Americans have been facing deadlock in dealing with
Palestinian nation.


He added that young Palestinian generation has been awakened and
understood from its religious beliefs and sentiments that they have no
way but resistance and self-sacrifice against the occupying enemy.


The Supreme Leader went on to say that the historical
understanding will guarantee Palestinian nation`s undoubted victory
and eventual defeat by the Zionist regime and the US government.


Referring to high turn out at the world Quds day rallies,
Ayatollah Khamenei said the World Quds Day mirrored overwhelming will
of Muslim nations for campaign against the US and Israel.

State television showed footage of the truck, seized after a clash on Tuesday in which two wanted militants were killed, filled with the explosives, rocket-propelled grenades and gas cylinders to magnify the force of any explosion.

Officials say Tuesday's raid by security forces thwarted an imminent attack during the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr, less than three weeks after suspected al Qaeda bombers killed at least 18 people in a residential compound in the Saudi capital.

An Interior Ministry source said on Thursday the truck had 1,267 kg (2,790 lbs) of ammonium nitrate-based explosives in the back when it was seized. A further 1,377 kg of explosives was found nearby, along with more than a thousand rounds of ammunition."

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "WASHINGTON — A top counterterrorism official says al-Qaeda operatives dropped plans this year for several small attacks in the USA to focus on plotting a "more spectacular" assault comparable to the Sept. 11 attacks. The U.S. counterterrorism official, who has access to all intelligence on the terrorist group, told USA TODAY this week that officials have no specific evidence to indicate how or when al-Qaeda might try to launch a massive strike on U.S. soil.

But, the official said, interviews with al-Qaeda detainees, intercepts of communications from suspected operatives and other sources have yielded evidence that Osama bin Laden's network still has a command structure and a determination to launch an attack that might rival the suicide hijackings.

About 3,000 people were killed in the Sept. 11 attacks.

"It's clear that al-Qaeda wants to strike here" and that it continues to seek opportunities for "a catastrophic attack," said the official, who asked not to be identified.

Recent intelligence reports indicate that al-Qaeda remains fascinated by the idea of using aircraft as missiles, despite the additional security at U.S. airports since the 9/11 attacks, the official said.

U.S. analysts still say explosives typically used in more limited assaults, including vehicle bombs in suicide attacks, remain al-Qaeda's most likely weapon here.

But intelligence reports suggest that some of the network's operatives think that an attack using chemical or biological weapons could be a way to top the 9/11 attacks, the official said.

Such weapons can be difficult to use, but al-Qaeda has sought them for years."

Here's something new this evening on the NEIN site:

28 November 2003-- During a joint investigation being conducted by the Northeast Intelligence Network and Mr. Steven Quayle to determine the likelihood that nuclear weapons, including radiological or dirty bombs could be present within the continental United States, we were provided with the above digital photograph [image claims copyright, so I didn't attach - it's a small helicopter with an odd device hanging off the bottom, looks something like a long auger you would use to drill a hole for a telephone pole] . The image is of a small, quiet, 5-blade helicopter flying at approximately 75-100 feet above ground level near the property of a nuclear power plant owned by First Energy Corporation. I did some digging on my own tonight and determined that the Federal NEST Team does, in fact, have at least three helicopters at its disposal. I determined that the helo in the photo appears to be an MD-500E, which is a model commonly used in law enforcement. Finally, I learned that FirstEnergy owns three nuclear generation stations: Beaver Valley in Shippingport, PA; Davis Besse in Oak Harbor, OH; and Perry in Perry, OH. It appears that they may also still own the defunct Three Mile Island Unit 2 at Middletown, PA (the operational Unit 1 was sold to another utility by FirstEnergy's predecessor). Any of these 4 sites would be consistent with the appearance of the bare tree branches in the photo at this time of year. Apparently the Davis Besse facility has had numerous serious problems of late, so if the NEST Team was snooping around there, it might just be for accidental release of radiation or some standard monitoring.

This image was taken by a professional photographer after observing the helicopter using 10x binoculars for several minutes. The helicopter was observed quietly flying in a tight pattern over an area near the nuclear facility, using a device tethered to the helicopter as if it was searching for a specific location or "target." The photograph was taken earlier this week, however was not released until being authenticated through independent analysis. Additional investigation verified the authenticity of the image and the veracity of the photographer. Corroborating witnesses were also located and interviewed.

The original image was shown to several individuals familiar with radiological detection equipment without providing them with any information or explanation of the photograph; they were selected based on their knowledge of such equipment and asked to describe the image depicted. All sources provided nearly identical responses-- the helicopter is most likely an asset of the Nuclear Emergency Search Team (NEST) and the line is carrying an array of "directional flux probes" designed to search for the "signature" of a radiological device.

Questioned on whether such a device would be used to check for leakage within a nuclear reactor, containment facility or other physical structures operated by a nuclear power plant, all of the sources familiar with power plant operations were at a loss to explain the use of such equipment "absent of any known or suspected radiological leakage." Additionally, the photographer admitted that during the last 14 years of living within close proximity to the power facility, he had never seen any such device being used. Initially thought to be a device used in the transportation of power equipment, then suspected of being an instrument used to clear brush from critical power structures, our investigation proved otherwise. A thorough investigation into the activities at this facility on the date and within a six-hour time period that this photograph was taken was performed. According to sources directly responsible for such activities, it was learned that no authorization was given to any employee, contractor, sub-contractor, or public utility to perform any type of work, including but not limited to the activities mentioned above at the location where this helicopter was observed.

It is interesting to note that this image was taken on the same day that several news stories were published that referenced "dirty bombs" or other types of nuclear devices being viewed as a credible threat within the United States. Based on the results of our combined investigation as well as the interesting timing of this sighting, it seems as though we currently have more questions than answers. -- Douglas J. "I-270 Shootings: Public's Assistance Still Needed

Authorities Want To Open Dialogue With Person, Persons Involved"




ARTICLE SNIPPET: "COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Investigators looking into a series of shootings on Interstate 270 said Friday that they would like to open dialogue with the person or persons responsible for at least 10 shootings along that stretch of road.



One of the shootings led to the death of a 62-year-old woman Tuesday.



Franklin County Sheriff's Office Chief Steve Martin said that the shootings were not accidental, but intentional.

Ballistics tests revealed that Tuesday's shooting was "positively linked" to at least one other shooting case and "investigators cannot eliminate the possibility that several other reported cases are related as well."

At a Friday afternoon news conference, Martin said that investigators were making progress with the investigation and are seeking the public's assistance into finding more clues about the suspect or suspects. "Please contact the tip line at (614) 462-4646 so arrangements can be made so we can establish communications with you," Martin said, addressing the person or people who may have been involved in the shootings.

Authorities have been investigating 10 shootings on or near a stretch of I-270. On Tuesday, Gail Knisley, 62, was killed after a bullet ripped through the driver's door of her best friend's car on I-270, narrowly missing the driver."
