A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.
The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?
The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.
Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.
DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.
Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.
If you predict attacks almost every day, like this moron did, you'll eventually get it right.
(snip...) When a New York-bound Czech Airlines flight was diverted to land in Iceland after a bomb threat was e-mailed to the U.S. Embassy in Prague, no bomb was found but, according to Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin, two tons of machine-guns were discovered in the baggage hold. ....
....The threat of a bomb on the civilian airliner was heightened because of the fact that President Bush's Air Force One was flying through the same airspace over Iceland at the same time in the opposite direction on his way to England
Terrorist plan to bomb Aussie school in Jakarta Cindy Wockner in Bali 02jun03 FIVE months before the Bali bombing the terrorists responsible allegedly discussed a plan to bomb the Australian International School in Jakarta. But the plan was abandoned because members of the group were uncomfortable that the victims would be children. The chilling revelation is contained in signed police statements of Imam Samudra, the field co-ordinator of the Bali bombing. In one statement, Samudra tells how, in May 2002, a group, including senior Jeemah Islamiah figure, Mukhlas, met to discuss their ongoing terror campaign against the West. In the statement Samudra claims that Mukhlas then suggested the group should commit a bombing at the Australian school in Jakarta. Samudra said: "At that time I didn't agree because the people who will be the victims are school children and security." Samudra said this plan was shortlived and instead they talked of bombing the Newmont gold mine on the island of Lombok. He claimed the meeting participants agreed with this plot and fine-tuning of the task was handed to Dulmatin, a bombmaker. But several months later, at another meeting in August 2002, the bombing was also abandoned, largely because they had discovered most of the workers at the Newmont plant were Muslim. Soon after, Bali was chosen as a target. Samudra says that he was appointed by Mukhlas to co-ordinate the planning of the Bali attack. He claims to have seen on the Internet information that the US was warning its citizens not to visit the Indonesian city of Yogyakarta. The claims are contained in a series of Samudra's police statements, taken as evidence in the trial of radical Muslim cleric Abu Bakar Bashir, who is charged with treason for plotting to kill Indonesian President Megawati Sukarnoputri. Bashir is widely believed to be the spiritual leader of Jeemah Islamiah, however he denies any links to the group or any links to the Bali bombing. Authorities have been unable to conclusively prove a Bashir link to the Kuta attack. But in one statement, dated January 23 this year, Samudra says he believed Bashir knew of the plan to bomb Bali and gave his blessing for the massacre to Mukhlas. He also claimed that the group held a meeting at Bashir's home in Solo, where Bashir was critical that the Batam Island bombings had been ineffective and said they needed to concentrate more on toppling the US and its allies. But last week when prosecutors brought Samudra to Jakarta to testify against Bashir, he denied the statements, claiming he had been stripped naked and tortured into signing the document. Samudra told police that after the Bali bombing, he sent an SMS message to Mukhlas telling him the result and suggesting he watch the carnage on television. Samudra's co-conspirator, the smiling Amrozi, was brought out for some sunshine yesterday. His terrorism trial in Bali resumed late yesterday after opening addresses were heard for Samudra. Amrozi, who has been dubbed the "smiling assassin" was jovial, hopping on one foot for the cameras. Asked why he was so happy, Amrozi said he was "always happy" since his arrest. He said that Jihad or Holy War had not been defeated by the arrest of so many members of his group. "Even if I am dead, Jihad is not defeated."
True. For all we know, he could have saved up his apple money and took a trip to Mecca. Security at Penn Station seems to be the same. I heard a report on Fox early this morning that they are checking some trucks.
